β β β β β This is going to be a long review so anyone interested in knowing why I gave 1 star can take 5 mins to read this for their own benefit.
This is my experience of the visit I made a month ago to chatterjee. My mother had high blood sugar one day because of which her eyesight was a bit blurry. I went to this doctor Chatterjee expecting he would suggest if it's serious or not.
I told him that she is a diabetic and recently her high blood sugar was on the higher side and also had issues with vision. All he did was check the eye power and asked me to take glasses and constantly scared her that she will go blind if blood sugar keeps increasing and even said there is cataract development. So I had to buy specs based on his CONSULATION from the same clinic where he has some Eyewear optics shop independently run in his own clinic (or vice versa).
But since she was having other issues w.r.t to blood sugar I went to a better DIABETIC specialist in Vashi who totally advised against wearing specs now as the eye power will change when blood sugar reduces. Based on his suggestion I went to another renowned EYE specialist in Vashi and he did a test called Fundoscopy to check if there was any issue with retina of the eyes. After checking, he said there is NO issue with the eyes and there is no need for glasses because once blood sugar levels come down it will automatically be better. All he gave was eye drops and that's it.
He didn't scare us either, just plain facts. Now it's been a month that my mother controlled her sugar intake and now she can clearly see without the prescribed glasses.
I went to Chatterjee clinic because of the number of 5 star reviews but now when I take a second look, mostly all those accounts have 1 review or 2 reviews, sounds fishy to me.
So now let me summarize it, even after Chaterjee being an eye specialist, all he did was check the power of eyes and ask my mother to wear glasses even after knowing the root cause was high blood sugar. For that he took 500 for consultation and 2700 was taken for the glasses by the optics shop adjacent to the clinic.
If all I had to do was check my mother's eye power I could have gone to Lenskart as they do it for free and their lens and frame cost is much lower than 2000. So I don't know what's the use of being an eye "specialist" when you are doing the job of a lenskart employee?
This place is to just mint money from middle class people like me by scaring them the will have serious eye issues and make them buy specs from the eye optic shop.
Now my mother doesn't wear the prescribed glasses and still can clearly see like she used to before. That's the reason I waited for a month to put this review as I didn't wanted to jump the gun before understanding who's consultation was wrong.
So anyone reading this wants to still give it a try then good luck with your money and your eyes.

β β β β β Dr. Chatterjee is like a God sent avatar to us. My father who had high number with cataract & glaucoma was completely handicapped without glasses. His eye number was - 25.00 D. Many doctors have refused to operate as he had only one eye. Dr. Chatterjee took d risk & operated in his eye. Today my father has got back his vision which he had lost long back. I will b indebted to d doctor all my life. My father is a happy man today. I would recommend everyone 2 Dr. Susanta Chatterjee
