Worst Doctor in Indore. She seems to be a friendly Gynecologist until she convinces you to admit in Apollo Hospital. Dishonest doctor, it seems she works as a Business Development Manager for Apollo Hospital. I had a Traumatic Birth Experience with her. I have lost my Faith in doctors and medical fraternity because of a Negligent practitioner like Deepali Mittal. My birthing experience with her was scary and traumatic. This doctor gave us nightmares by extending my hospital stay for 8 days only for Commercial purposes. She made me and my newborn baby Suffer. 1. There was no medical reason to operate me at 36 weeks. I wasn't suffering from any condition like diabetes or hypertension or preeclampsia or any heart condition. All my tests were absolutely Normal and healthy pregnancy. This doctor did not counsel me to wait until atleast 38 weeks for my c section which is the ethical norm. 2. There was literally No Skin to Skin Contact provided to me with my newborn baby. This doctor forcefully Blindfolded me with black eye cover during the delivery without my permission and did not even let me see my baby! No breastfeed during the First Golden hour or even few hours after birth of baby. Baby kept crying badly for an hour and instead of initiating breastfeeding, this doctor directed us to formula feed by introducing Similac and left for her home clinic. I am shocked to see this doctor promoting Apollo hospital for c sections during pregnancy and later telling me that nurses there dont have "time" to help a new mom breastfeed. What a Shame! 3.There was no need to admit my newborn baby for phototherapy at 10.1 bilirubin levels at 4th day after birth. Baby weight was good 2.97 kg. She was active and doing well. Her Pediatrician at Apollo, Dr. Himasnhu Kelker clearly told us that we can get discharged and take our baby Home safely. After that this Gynaecologist came, misguided us, called the pediatrician and asked him to admit my baby for Phototherapy. Despite of me not in favour of same and crying, she Seperated mother and baby. She forced my husband and family to admit my baby by putting fear in their mind that something will happen to our baby after 2 days if she wasn't admitted immediately. Later, after getting discharged, we have consulted 2 senior pediatricians who have more than 30 years of experience and also a 3rd opinion of a family doctor. Every single doctor had the same opinion. "There is no need for phototherapy for 10.16 bilirubin levels for a 2.97kg baby at 4th day after birth as its normal range and harmless". Jaundice goes away on its own after few days in most of the newborns. It is so very Common these days!! 4. The facility at Apollo Hospital is extremely poor. The nurses are not even trained to assist a new c section mother with breastfeeding her newborn baby. This doctor or the nurses did not help me in feeding my baby even when she was on Phototherapy. As a result of which my newborn baby suffered from Hypoglycemia with blood sugar hitting 38, hypocalcemia and drastic weight loss reaching to 2.1kg and severe dehydration. This lady did not even visit me or my baby in the hospital once after forcefully getting my newborn baby admitted for Phototherapy for 4 days and putting her life in a dangerous emergency situation. Later, when I visited her Home Clinic for follow up checkup and discussed about same, she refused to even acknowledge or talk about it. Such an Inhuman Doctor.

Dr mittal has excellent clinical sense and on how to treat the patient explaining everything so that we are not just handed a diagnosis. As she doesn't prescribe unnecessary tests/medicines and I highly recommend her as a welcoming gynaecologist with proper guidance.
