My father in-law got treated by him. At the age of 80, his CABG operation is done under the safe hands of Dr. Mukherjee. One of the greatest cardiologists with great skills available in the town. Above all, he is a great human being with a very friendly attitude towards the patient. Very much caring. I suggest those who wishes to see a cardiologist, must visit him once at AMRI Hospital.

Dr koushik Mukherjee and his team are very helpful, friendly & informal apart from being very efficient in their job. Other than being a really good surgeon, Dr koushik displays wonderful skill in bringing up the patient.

My mom had a sudden black out and she was experiencing pain in her left back shoulder stretching to arms. She had met Dr Abhijit Bhatta, initially, at one of the Apollo Clinics in Kolkata. Since he is not a cardiologist, after the initial treatment, we decided to take advice from a cardiologist from an institute where we were regular, Dr S N Roy. To my utter disappointment, he demoralised my mom to such an extent that she lost confidence. Dr Roy told her that the blackout might be because of acute heart condition and she might even need a pacemaker. She should not stay alone and should knock somebody before using the loo. I came to know about Dr Mukherjee through google. When I met him in person, I got to know that reviews were not wrong, exaggerated or false. He is a gem of a person, very humble, straight forward and has immense knowledge of his domain. My mom got her confidence back on the very first meet as he was quite sure about his steps forward. He planned an angiography to be sure whether there was any blockage in severity and needed to be treated likewise. All went well and my mom is doing fine now with a course of regular medicines. If you are skeptical about any of your near and dear ones’ heart related issues, please get in touch with him. It’s better to feel good first, prior to any treatment and you would certainly get that after meeting him. The only thing has bothered me is AMRI Dhakuria, his one and only consultation arena. The less I speak about the administration, the better it is. Anyways, what matters to a patient, is a doctor and Dr Mukherjee is a genius.

I came to know about Dr Kaushik Mukherjee from some 1. then I did little research about him and got satisfied by feedback which I recived from others. Frankly speaking initally I was scared like anything since my father age is 73. At this age valve replacement was bit scary for me. But god grace I met with such a human being (Dr Kaushik Mukherjee). Few quality about him I would like to elaborate which I personally observed as patients attender. 1. Very clear and confident about how he is going to handle patient. 2. Extremly polite and down to earth. 3. Doesn't hesitate to explain same thing to patient party for multiple time. 4. Always cool and with smily face discuss with patient. 5. For any urgency he replies immidiately which happened with me in person very recent. He has handle nicely the stuation whether its ups or down. One more thing I would like to mention (Sushmita) She is really nice with very huge amount patience serving/helping all patient who all are coming form far/near to get cure from DR Kaushik Mukherjee. Thanks to entire team who all are supported during this transition.

I had an amazing experience with AMRI hospital. Dr Kaushik Mukherjee is an excellent surgeon, quite knowledgeable and experienced. He is a very kind hearted person. He has taken a great care of my relative and explained everything very clearly. Staffs of AMRI are well-behaved and very friendly. I am very happy & satisfied with the service provided. From the day of appointment to discharge, I had a great experience discussing with Dr Kaushik sir over phone. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a cardiac surgeon.

(1st part posted previously, somehow it was deleted so this is my updated review with previous part) My patient name is Mr Bharadwaj Prasad Chakraborty who is my father. We hail from Malda town,West Bengal. Even after consulting from Dr Devi Shetty's hospital I was reluctant to go for any doctor just because he's under the banner of the Devi Shetty. So began extensive research on Kolkata based doctors and finally came to know about Dr Kaushik Mukherjee. Many of my relatives suggested to go for hospitals like Apollo or BM Birla which is "popular" for cardiac treatments but against the myth of choosing the hospital I was more keen on choosing the right doctor for me and found him in Dr Mukherjee. Today the 27th of Oct when I'm writing this feedback is the 2nd day after the bypass surgery (CABG) and today my father has walked around and spoken to us. In his words "the doctor has given me a new life". Though it's still 24 hrs to go for 72 hrs danger zone but we're hopeful about his recovery seeing his progress till now. Although his oxygen saturation level is low and the base of lung is yet to be inflated to its optimum level but doctor assured us about it and we're very satisfied because he's given time to address our every concern which is something we often miss from doctors of his stature. As of now, if you're in or around Kolkata and looking for a CTVS,Dr Kaushik Mukherjee is the doctor you should consult at least once. Such humble, down to earth doctors are assets of this World and blessing for the mankind. Update on Nov 1 He's been discharged today and doing well. Apart from few difficulties he looks absolutely okay. My heartfelt thanks and regards to Dr Kaushik Mukherjee. *Nov 8 incidents* I didn't think I had anything more to say about my "experience" with Dr Kaushik Sir but who knows what's destiny has written for us. My father was feeling sick from Nov 4th and passing some blood streaked stools in frequent intervals, discomfort was seen in his face, couldn't eat or drink anything, lost his sleep but we couldn't understand what's going on inside his body. We were in constant touch with Dr Mukherjee sir and he prescribed some medicines as SOS. None of us felt any urgency to take him to hospital as he was already too weak to move and needed care and love at home. Then comes November 8, post midnight. He passed huge amount of fresh blood and became semi unconscious, started speaking incoherently, heart rate and spo2 all came down. We thought anything could happen from here. Around 2pm texted Dr Mukherjee (he's always reachable in person if there's no OT on, that's what makes him different from many others in the field) and he advised immediate admission, also took initiatives to save time by informing the on duty RMO as well. We had oxygen cylinder at home which was the life saver at that moment and took him to hospital at the wee hours. For next 3-4 days it was a never ending battle for all of us including Dr Mukherjee, he was visibly very upset with this because it was already a successful OT but the constant blood loss wasn't going to help the case anyway. We had to take a call regarding ventilation which we denied because we couldn't afford it. Sir was very kind to us. He took one last chance and went for the colonoscopy to find out the reason for blood loss. Here comes the very experienced Dr Das (gastroenterologist) who conducted the highly risky colonoscopy on my semi unconscious father successfully and applied Haemspray(which was a bit costly but completely stopped the bleeding). After the HS apply he started recovering and with Dr Mukherjee's able supervision he got his "re-birth". After such an incident we understood why even today when people often accuse doctors of becoming "money-makers" there are few who are called "God". Even if not God, they're definitely God-sent angels to the society; and Dr Kaushik Mukherjee is definitely one of them. I wish him a good health, long life and more fame to his name.

Dr. Kaushik Mukherjee is like a god to me. My mother had a CABG operated by Dr. Mukherjee and his team. It was a complex situation where my mother already had a stroke with three blocked arteries. But he brought back my mother from death like situation. Need not to say how cool minded Dr. Mukherjee is. Even between two OTs, he attends OPD and answers every single question of patient parties. I feel lucky that I got a chance to connect with Dr. Mukherjee.
