★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a boil on my eye i went to him he said cost will be 8000 rs but after 5 days i again went then he felt i m in hurry so he said cost will be 15000 rs then i said i m ready but i have to claim it then he said if u will do claim then cost will increase to 30000.then i took second opinion of dr nitin dedhia my surgery has completed in 10000 rs only n my eyes are ok now

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Nagvekar is hands down and by far the best eye specialist I know. He diagnosed my keratoconus quickly and was decisive in asking me to take care of it. His staff is also competent and caring. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone !

1) Unclean / Unhygienic: The entire premises is unclean & no effort is being put forward to maintain any sort of sterile environment. You expect better from him.
2) The team supporting this doctor are disorganised & unreliable. There is no system in place to distinguish the different patients with appointments from the walk in patients. In addition, when patients walk in, they are given priority on a needless basis rather than on first come; first serve. Considering this is an opthalmologists office and not a emergency room, you'd expect a token system and people going in according to that system no matter what connection they have to the staff or the doctor.
3) Every single patient has to wait for a minimum of Four (4)h on average. This is based on actual experience on 3 different visits over the space of 2 months.
Pro's:
1) He is one of the better opthalmologists around Bandra.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My parents have been visiting Dr Nagwekar for several years. He is considered a good doctor. However I am deeply disturbed by the work ethics which have now become a
norm. My mother has to visit him every 6 months and he gives an appointment for 2.30 pm and does not turn up before 4.30pm. My father is 89 and mother is 83 who have to wait for 3 to 4 hours before their turn. Aren't there any ethics that a doctor needs to follow for all patients especially very senior citizens. This is not a one time incident but its a normal practice for Dr. NAGWEKAR.
