Capt. (Dr.) Pooja (retd.) served the nation with pride as a Captain in the Indian Army Ordnance Corps. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and Post-graduation in Counselling Psychology. She also completed her psychotherapy in Transactional Analysis from the Institute of Counselling & Transactional Analysis, Kochi, Kerala.
She is a Transactional Analysis Practitioner with certification. In addition, she holds a Doctorate in Management studies major in marketing behaviour. She has long and versatile academic experience working with prestigious universities of India. Shehas worked with Guru Nanak Dev University,Amritsar, ISMR Pune, Arihant Pune, Graphic Era University, Dehradun, and Dean and Director of Hermes Management College Uttarakhand.
She has penned down many books on Management and Psychology. She believes that Transactional Analysis is imperative for everyone’s life as it’s a psychoanalytic theory and method of therapy where in social interactions are analysed to determine the ego state of the communicator as thebasis for understanding behaviour. Transactional Analysis aims to define awareness within the client and their stance on intimacy with others.
She is a motivational speaker and a trainer for the government as well as the corporate world. She trained joint commissioners at the Indian Institute of Planning and Administration, Delhi. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there for a session and wasn’t told that I needed to bring cash or paytm to do payment before the session. When I explained my situation and told them that I can only do the bank transfer once I reach home, I was told to cancel the session. I even told them that there are no working ATMs nearby and I just have a ATM card with me for payment. It was highly unprofessional. I haven’t met Dr Boora but I feel if money is the only concerned rather than the person’s situation. I know the times have changed and people try to cheat, but I also thought being considerate is one of the key feature of a counsellor. She clearly told her assistant to inform me to go away. If money is the first thing that comes to their mind, I am not sure if I can trust this person with such unprofessional culture.
