★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An NGO suspected of running a scam by collecting money from people for an event for which they apparently never obtained the police permissions on March 17-18, 2018. They had mislead few unsuspecting vendors and pitched there would be dance performances, live performance by a reputed band and an expected footfall of 5000+ people, and this lured people into booking stalls in the range of rupees 5000, 10000 plus a commission of 20% to 30% for some.
No performances happened, clearly due to mismanagement at the highest level. The band refused to perform, speculatively due to absence of any crowd what so ever. Some of the vendors claimed that the only people they had sold their product to were other stall holders.
Various questions of the affected stall holders were left unanswered by the trustees such as, *what steps had been taken to ensure the crowd of 5000+ plus as pitched to the stall holders*. They keep talking about some 4000 (or 6000) pamphlets (they were calling them flyers) which they had printed. Never mentioned any hoarding / flex or any other type of OOH media or any kind of marketing done. Probably because there wasn't any. And they just absolutely forgot how important role the social media plays. They had maybe 37 Facebook followers and 50 Instagram followers. The Facebook page had not even created an event.
One of the trustees openly admitted that the trust is *hardly fifteen days old*. Upon asking the exact date of registration. No answer was received in return from the two people claiming to be the trustee of the "Indoi Spandan Foundation" which is the name against which the cheques were drawn.

The idol is always made in the traditonal "Daaker Shaj" manner with a bonidibari(Rajbari or royal court) touch.
Come here to see some young couples dance on the beats of dhak and of course for the delicious food.
There is a gurudwara adjacent to the Pujo ground. So one can occasionally spot some Sikhs doing dhunuchi dance. That sight is simply Spectacular

This ground is a holy location for the Bengali Hindu community residing in the area, as it annually hosts Durga Puja festival in this ground. Traditional idol of the goddess Durga is the speciality of this pandal.
