★ ★ ★ ★ ★ माचार पत्रों की बदलती हुई मांग एवं क्षेत्रीय स्तर पर मीडिया के विस्तार को ध्यान में रखते हुए ई.एम.एस. न्यूज एजेंसी की कार्यप्रणाली तैयारी की गई। भारत में 1997 में सेटलाइट नेटवर्क तथा दूरसंचार लाइनों का समन्वय बनाकर समाचार एवं छायाचित्रों को कम्प्यूटर के माध्यम से सीधे समाचार पत्रों को वितरण शुरू किया। वर्ष 1997 में हिंदी भाषा के विभिन्न साफ्टवेयर्स का कनवरशन तैयार कर समाचार पत्रों एवं राज्य सरकारों को उपलब्ध कराया गया जो कि उस समय की नवीन तकनीक थी। इससे समाचार पत्रों को त्वरित रूप से समाचार एवं छायाचित्र बहुत कम लागत पर उपलब्ध हुए। वहीं भारत की विभिन्न भाषाओं तेलुगु, गुजराती, अंग्रेजी, उर्दू तथा मराठी भाषा के समाचार पत्रों को भी क्षेत्रीय भाषा में समाचार उपलब्ध हुए। इंटरनेट पर हिंदी की प्रथम वेबसाइट तथा इंटरनेट के माध्यम से भारतीय भाषाओं के समाचार उपलब्ध कराने का श्रेय भी ई.एम.एस. को मिला। वर्ष 2006 से भारत की सभी भारतीय भाषाओं की टाइपिंग तथा ई-मेल करने की सुविधा ई.एम.एस. की वेबसाइट पर संभव होने से क्षेत्रीय समाचार एवं छायाचित्र संवाददाताओं के माध्यम से एकत्रित किए जाने लगे हैं। इन समाचारों को त्वरित रूप से इंटरनेट के माध्यम से विश्व स्तर पर क्षेत्रीय भाषा में उपलब्ध कराने का कार्य केवल ई.एम.एस. में ही संभव है।
भारतीय भाषा के 900 से अधिक दैनिक समाचार पत्र ई.एम.एस. की सेवायें ले रहे हैं। भारत सरकार के पत्र सूचना कार्यालय (पीआईबी), विज्ञापन एवं दृश्य प्रचार निदेशालय (डीएव्हीपी),मध्य प्रदेश सरकार, उत्तराखंड सरकार, उत्तर प्रदेश शासन, बिहार शासन, झारखण्ड शासन, राजस्थान शासन, हिमाचल प्रदेश शासन, छत्तीसगढ़ शासन, महाराष्ट्र शासन, राजभवन, म.प्र. विधानसभा से मान्यता प्राप्त समाचार एजेंसी है। केवल मध्य प्रदेश में ही 190 दैनिक समाचार पत्र ई.एम.एस. की सेवायें ले रहे हैं।
