FERRY WHARF We all know Mumbai has a long coastline and so is popular as a Hotspot of fishermen's hub and is flooded with many Sea-food restaurants. The newly entered restaurant is a new heaven for the seafooders called FERRY WHARF located at Bandra West (opp. Lilavati hospital). This place specializes in manglorean coastal cuisine without burning deep holes into our pockets. The interior compliments the restaurant giving a sailor theme with azure blue and white coloured walls decorated with fish artifacts, wooden anchor, oar, oil lanterns giving subtle and complete ferry ride feel. Many of us are always inquisitive about ordering while reading the peculiar names in the menu but we give up not knowing what to expect once we order but the exceptionally good concept of this place is tasting platter which was served right at the beginning which gets you a spoonful of most of their signature curries and dishes which helps you decide which one you can opt or drop off. This brilliant concept definitely makes your taste buds go Gaga! Sol kadhi- The best beverage we generally end up our sea food meals with is served at the beginning as a welcome drink in a milk bottle filled with Sol Kadhi, rich and finely blended with coconut milk & Kokum with little spiced up taste. The best digestive drink for every sea food lover. Surmai Tikka- Boneless kebab of surmai fish toss in spicy Chilli marinade and cooked in tandoor was served with mint chutney. The Tikka was tender in texture and taste with a slew of spices added very similar to the taste of chicken Tikka. Kudos to the chef for this amazing tasting dish. Rawas Tikka- Tastes decent, soft, perfect balance of spices and condiments which compliments it's taste. The original taste of rawas was well maintained. Prawns Thali- Is the best choice as a meal for one. This Thali comprised of crispy prawns fry, cauliflower subzi which was little spicy, prawns curry with typical manglorean gravy, where there's spice, taste and elements of coconut. Also served with steam rice, chapati /neer dosa. The thali was a total value for money. Gulab Jamun- The most popular dessert often referred to as Indian doughnut was absolutely soft, melt-in-your-mouth. The spongy milky ball Soaked in rose scented syrup is a must have. Spice girl- Invested in a gorgeous set of glass served for non-drinkers called spice girl. The drink was sweet and a little sour at end of the palate gets a brilliant green chilly zing. Payasam- Our meal ended with payasam sweetened with jaggery and perfect consistency, absolute perfect in taste. It was smooth silky and ended on sweet note. A must visit for all the Sea-food lovers, it gives complete justice to their tagline of restaurant ie "for seafooders" . The service is top notch and remarkable sea food cuisine.

Affectionately addressed as Bhau or big brother by the local people Ferry Wharf aka Bhaucha Dhakka was built by Lakshman Hari Chandarjee Ajinkya(1789-1858) belonging to Pathare Prabhu community. The boating with fees of Rs 160 was very interesting and needed to be encouraged. The breeze and sea with birds interruptions and views of ships were enchanting. The boat terrace allowed views at special locations.
