About Fig & Maple

Radhika Khandelwal, chef-owner at Fig & Maple and Ivy & Bean, started her culinary career in 2008 in Melbourne.

The initial years of her career in Australia helped shape her culinary beliefs of local, sustainable and seasonal cooking, giving her the opportunity to lead the conversation on these practices in New Delhi.

She started Ivy & Bean in 2013 and Fig & Maple in 2016, which helped translate her culinary thought process onto the plate. With a huge influence on farm to fork, zero waste, biodiversity and an advocate for the sustainable development goals, Fig & Maple was put on the culinary map in India’s capital city.

Chef Radhika represents India at the Chefs Manifesto, an organization of the United Nations’ SDG2 (Zero Hunger). She is a part of Scaling up Nutrition and EAT Foundation, through which she often advocates and represents zero waste food techniques, ancient grains, and a celebration of the planet’s biodiversity on panels across the world.

In 2019, Conde Nast Traveller named Chef Radhika a 40 Under 40 Star Chef in India because of her significant contribution to the country’s zero hunger and sustainable food movement. She has actively brought together and nurtured thriving networks of regional food producers and frequently highlights their contributions through her menu at Fig and Maple.

She also spearheaded Delhi’s first digital Zero Waste campaign in the F&B industry in 2019, which became an immediate success on social media.

Rooftop cafe plus restaurant located in gk2. Ambience is nice, somewhat similar to diggin. Noisy but beautiful. Food was outstanding but overpriced. Staff was co operative and overall we had a decent time. But they can reduce the prices

We were in a large group and had booked a table on the rooftop. The cocktails were our primary focus and we tried a lot of them. My personal favourite was the Songs of the Sea, a tequila and grapefruit flavoured drink. There were more innovative flavours and combinations, including paan and coffee. I also recommend the Rusty Fig. Often when eating out in Delhi, I tend to feel let down by the portion size -- not here. This is a great place to get large plates to share. The salad ingredients are all fresh and well-seasoned. The beetroot risotto was something I had not eaten before, and it tasted surprisingly good. The chorizo dip was a bit disappointing in that we couldn't find much actual chorizo. The chutney with the fish balls stood out. The calamari was unfortunately overdone but its batter fry was tasty af. I did not try the pizza but it looked good. The decor is perfect for an evening out, and they do let you bring your dogs here. Pet owners/slaves, this is a good place for you.

Very nice staff. I was coming to this restrictions to meet my friends, I had a small suitcase with me. The elevator was not functional, so the staff offered to carry my case all the way to the 3rd floor. So kind of them. The food is also amazing. The eggs benedict menu is my favourite.

If you love fig this place will indulge you beyond your expectations. The rooftop restaurant is as good in the day as it is in the evening. The winter Sun kissing you and the fig cocktail is an ideal date for couples. From appetisers to cocktails to mains food here is crafted to tease all your senses. As a day dreamer I visited F&M around brunch time and lo & behold I was pleasantly surprised with their menu of day drinks. The mimosa is refreshing but I loved the fig whiskey cocktail. The bennies (eggs benedict) are colourful and flavourful. Definitely recommend this restaurant for daytime. Evenings are even more fun but it may get difficult to get a table especially on weekends.

I like the ambiance and vibe of this place. The food was just too delicious but I felt pressure while eating here at around three because they were closing down for the shift. We requested for staying for a while and ordered in advance, paid the bill But we still felt pressured to leave just after paying the bill

Have visited this place several times just to eat their fig and maple salad. I love the quality and quantity both! Their rooftop is such a magical green place with lit fairly lights. Will suggest to take reservations before if booking for rooftop vibe! The rooftop feels like a little escape ?✨
