About SIDECAR
On the second floor is our star attraction – a beautiful bar running across the main wall and holding a place of pride in the room. Packed with exciting ingredients, innovative concoctions, and signature cocktails (some classic, some seasonal and most craft), the bar also showcases zero proof and low proof drinks as well as carries forward the very popular “Whatever you Say” concept from our sister concern, Cocktails & Dreams, Speakeasy. Led by award-winning and renowned mixologist, author and co-owner of Sidecar, Yangdup Lama, the bar is a hub for guest shifts, spirit launches and cocktail sessions.
The main room also boasts of a live band area, periodically hosting resident and guest bands playing music that is a mix of blues, country and rock and roll. The soundtrack is meant to blend in the background and complement your drinking experience, not overtake it. There’s also a mix of engaging activities that we enjoy as a team and as bar patrons – quiz nights, book readings, workshops, and more.
The kitchen keeps pace with the alchemy at the bar by dishing out wholesome classic bar fare, presented in a modern classic way. With a mix of global eats, and a special nod to comfort dishes from Asia and Europe, the menu has seasonal specials, fresh salads, light eats, wholesome grills, and bowls that help soak up all the cocktails you are bound to order.
As a conscious effort, we are working on reducing our carbon footprint, saving our oceans and being as eco-friendly as possible. That’s precisely why we try to use seasonal and local ingredients, and only offer steel straws for all our drinks, while also reusing all bottles for the in-house purees and tinctures our team makes by using techniques like fermentation and dehydration for processing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So the food and drinks are pretty good. The drinks are actually superb.
The interior , decor also aesthetic. Very sophisticated in a rugged way. A bit peaky blinder sort of a look. In a sophisticated way.
The staff were polite and well mannered.
Place is located in a prime location, can't be missed.
The music was way too loud though... the music choice was nice.
I don't get why the place is as popular as it is though. Maybe it was just a mis match in taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friends and I came here for a quick drink to check the place out. They all loved it. Really good energy, curated cocktail menu, great onion rings, accommodating service and fantastic long bar, perfect for solos.
The Bhumi cocktail comes with an edible QR code that links to a YouTube video on the origins of the drink. How cool is that?!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had not heard of Sidecar even though we have been in Delhi multiple times in the recent past. A friend told us about Sidecar being the only bar in India, to be featured in the world's to 50 list. We found the decor to be nice, the cocktails were good and the bar tenders friendly. But nothing about the place was great or excellent or memorable. So I'm not so sure about the rankings. Would we go again? Certainly. But is it outstanding? Certainly not.
