★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a nice place for tourists to spend 1 or 2 days. Several hotels as well as Government Hotel is available here. I recommend personally to go for the Government hotel. During winter this place is too crowded. But during other times you just come here and sit beside the bank- it will be worth coming.
The light breeze, wide view of the river, beautiful sunset- everything is just awesome. And yes there are several animals also? who will come to you and ask for food. Just give them something and the happiness in their eyes will make your day. Do have a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place for a visit, quiet riverside, you can easily visit there enjoying a long drive from kolkata.
There is one WBTDC lodge where you can stay for a night if booked before otherwise there is nothing except the riverside view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cloudy, Windy, Calm and yes, Beautiful. From Kolkata may take around 2.5-3 hours to reach here. Roads are good though. Can be reached by bike, car, bus etc.
Government guest house as well as several hotels are available near to the river banks. There are ferris to cross the river just near right side of the junction.
Best part of the place is that there are several concrete chairs installed just on the road side following the river. Sit there in the evening and enjoy fresh air. ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful serene place, huge WBTDC property but not maintained at all. Rooms are very spacious, river view balcony. Staff are cordial, fairly good home cooked style food. If only they had maintained the property it would have given any 5 star hotel run for their money.
