Mandu was a prosperous kingdom, the validation of the claim is evident in the resplendent monuments, palaces and buildings that have survived the ravages of time. Of interest, amidst the array of dated buildings in the city, is the Dai Ka Mahal. ‘Dai’ literally translates into wet nurse.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As the name itself speaks this is a Palace made for the maids of the Mandu kings. Here it seems the maids use to stay to breast feed the and take cares of the Mandu kings children.
The place is very simple nothing much to see but the engineering and the architecture is yet again is really beautiful. The place shows the kindness of the mandu kings to build a palace for the maids as well. One of the common design in the architecture is elephant like tusk to support the tomb above is common with the Hindu designs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Architecture of the lady tomb here is colourful and very grand along with broken domes of the corridors or prayer structure. Landscape view of nearby mountains on the back side of the tomb is excellent and should not be missed.
