★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THE PALACE IS BUILT ON THE HILL-SLOPE TO THE EAST OF THE REWA-KUND. ON THE ENTRANCE-ARCH IS A PERSIAN INSCRIPTION STATING THAT THE PALACE WAS BUILT BY NASIRUD-DIN IN A-D-1508. BAZ-BAHADUR TOOK A FANCY FOR THE PALACE ON ACCOUNT OF ITS CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE REWA-KUND WHICH WAS FREQUENTED BY QUEEN RUPMATI.
The Hammam in the middle of the Palace looks amazing from the palace Terrace.
The flower petels carved on the archs are seen in the mahal as well as in the Jami Masjid and also other Structures

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Baj Bahadur' Palace.
27 December 2021.
Text Engraved in stone and installed by Archaeological Survey of India near Baz- Bahadur Palace entrance gives some information about Baj Bahadur Palace.
THE PALACE IS BUILT ON THE HILL SLOPE TO THE EAST OF THE REWA-KUND. ON THE ENTRANCE ARCH IS A PERSIAN INSCRIPTION STATING THAT THE PALACE WAS BUILT BY NASRUDIN IN A D 1508. BAZ-BAHADUR TOOK A FANCY FOR THE PLACE ON ACCOUNT OF ITS CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE REWA KUND WHICH WAS FREQUENTED BY HIS QUEEN RUPMATI.
As you approach the palace huge arches are seen on the left. Origin of these arches and also the well, which must have been the source of water, from where they lead to the palace is not traceable. Over the years it has vanished without trace,
These arches were built to support aqua ducts carrying for the water supply to the palace. That is how it was possible for these royalties not only to have water for normal usage but they could also indulge in having stepped swimming pool and fountains all over the place as well as in the gardens. I have also included couple of photos just showing the intricate lay out of these aqua ducts.
As per our guide, actually Rani Roopmati stayed here and it was her Palace. But Baz Badhur was so much in love with her that he spent so much time in this palace that eventually people started calling it Baj Bahadur's Palace.
There are times when what the guide tells you is much more interesting than the dry information given by Wiki, though it may be far from the facts. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sultan Baz Bahadur was the sultan of Maalwa, the palace is just before Rani Roopmati mandap, near Rewa Kund….
The structure is well maintained with park around…
Custard Apples are found at very cheap rate all around this place…
Ample place for parking is available… the place would be very crowded on weekends…
Overall great experience….

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Among the top 3 places to visit when you are in Mandav. Situated opposite of Rani Roopmati Pavillion, this palace used to be home of Baz Bahadur before Mandav fell in the hands of Mughals.
You can spend around 30-45 mins here easily. Better to have a guide to tell you the history about this place.
