No facilities to the people travelling here. Ministry of tourism should consider improving the place for travellers. Good place to visit for a day trip.

Historic fort, less crowded, less hyped. Differenr experience unlike other tourist spots. Either be seen in morning or evening . Afternoon its hot as only rocks around. We stayed at camp nearby , food provided by them itself. Family will enjoy it

Fabulous place , you just need to block two days from your calendar to visit this place. I have made my plans with the help of Nagraj, yes the name repeats again (Once you speak with him you will get to know what all he can do to make our trip as the best experience.) Called Nagraj, number available in google got the combo package (Camping tent (Non A/C) - Camp fire - Dinner - Breakfast) for A/C tents we need book before a week in advance. Camping Tent : A decent one provided with basic requirements, don't be in a assumption to carry winter wear, its very hot like summer even in the night time. I visited the place in November. Camp fire: A decent one, however we need to carry our own speakers / blue-tooth speaker for better experience Dinner: I have order for Non-veg dinner (it's unlimited like buffet) in which I got Chicken curry, white rice, 2 types of dal , rasam and 2 types of veg curries with a sweet, wheat roti and white rice , all home made Breakfast: Idli and Dosa with 2 types of chutney have it how much ever you want Food was homemade and it was delicious also we can customize the menu at a reasonable price Rest rooms: We have to walk away from the camping site (might be 200 meters approx) and you have rest rooms provided with hot water. For changing the cloths and charging your phones , we have a room allocated to us near the rest rooms. Right now route from Jammalamadugu is blocked as the bridge is broken. We had to take a different route , from Hyderabad (Hyderabad - Tadipatri - Muddanur - Gandikota) I got this package for Rupees 800/- Thank you Nagraj , after visiting the place I have understood why everyone is praising you. Meet you soon in my next visit

Such a wonderful destination where you can spend a quality time with your family as well as loved once.its better to go on your own transport,it's very safe and secured place.go on season time to experience the adventure activities.its bit difficult to get the food on time. As the accommodation facilities are less, you can find a quality stay?

Date of experience: Dec 2021 Parking: Available Ticket: Not required Accomodation: Available in Hotel and Tent Food: Small Local Shops This place more popular among bachelors for camping and adventures. I travelled here with family, six year old kid. I found it less hyped, offbeat and wonderful. The morning sun rise in the hazy view of the river is unforgettable moment. There is a temple and Jumma mosque inside the fort with beautiful and elegant architecture. You need to walk among the stones to get a beautiful view of the canin. There is separate camping place outside the fort where u can chill out and spend some quality time with your loved ones. For foodbyou need to rely on the local shops that serve dosa, bread omlet etc.

Awesome place for a day out, especially the Penna river valley view point (aka famously known as Grand canyon of India) is a must see. There is a small village inside the fort but don't expect food there. Make sure you carry food and water. Temple architecture is highlight. There is no entry fee for anything here. You have enough parking place for four wheeler.

Absolutely visually stunning place . It's rightly named the Grand Canyon of India. We rode our bikes from Bangalore to Gandikota. You can expect quite a few number of tourists over the weekend. Getting to the right end of the canyon with bikes n cars can't get a little tricky as it's a narrow road towards the end once you enter the fort. There isn't much food and drinks option or restaurant available.. there is one resort by AP tourism but which again is not that great. Carry umbrella and caps and sunscreen as it can get really sunny n hot in the afternoon. Won't recommend to visit this place in summers. Wear trekking boots or good shoes if possible.
