★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its been 22 years that I'm living in Anantapur district and I don't even know that there's a PLACE named GANDIKOTA THE GRAND CANYON OF INDIA which is better than NANDI HILLS and HORSELY HILLS...I loved this place very very much.. mainly..#THE VIEW #CAMPING WITH BONFIRE #TREKKING #GANDIKOTA WATERFALLS(Which has a Natural SPA)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really it is the GRAND CANYON OF INDIA. They could make it much better. Don’t miss kayaking here. Worth every penny. View is amazing. Get closer to the view as much as possible. Make sure to be little careful as the rocks might be slippery and no proper protection near the edges.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's called Grand Canyon of India for a reason. One of the best weekend spots to enjoy your time with friends and family. The vibe during the weekend is so good. Camping night on the rocks under the clear sky is the experience you should definitely not miss. Awesome camping night followed by activities like zipline is an icing on the cake. If you still have some time, try to visit a small waterfall nearby the camping spot. It's a 15 min walk.
Special shoutout to Gurunath for arranging one of the best spot for camping night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning by the nature and the scenic view from there.
Bt the surroundings are dirty with liquor bottles, plastics, wastes, dangerously scattered beer bottles. A complete negligence by the authority to protect the place from those anti-social activists.
Need a proper arrangements on security systems and nature protection systems too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's definitely worth the visit to take it the natural beautiful views of the Canyon so 5 stars for that.
Camping areas are dirty and there's Garbage of all sorts thrown everywhere, courtesy of the tourist's,so decide not to stay there, instead opted for a small hotel in the town which is about 10 km away.
Other than that the surrounding attractions are average not maintained by Govertment and filthy.
Its also sad to see how the Tourist who visit there take it upon them selves to vandalize the walls of the Fort and the articture inside.

History:
1.Gandikota is located in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
2. It resembles the Grand Canyon of Arizona and formed long way ago.
3.It was once ruled by many hindu amd Muslim kings, so we can see the fort, temple and mosque.
Pros:
1. Thanks to social media lots of people got attention of this place.
2. "Its a must visit place Guyss!!!!!" Because of its breathtaking views and scenary.
3.we can have campfire at night
4.wecan witness both sunrise and sunset at the viewpoint.
5. Campfire ? and Tents⛺ are available only after 9pm
6.we can also participate in various sports activities like trekking and Rock climbing.
7.Best place to visit with friends or family (Best season is between November-- February)
Cons:
1. Only negative i found is there is no proper maintenance for this place which feels really bad and i hope in future government will look into this and makes it as our countries best tourist spot ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place with a combination of historical significance & natural beauty. Its a long weekend activity from Bangalore - good drive.
The rock formations and the stream flowing gives makes it very special place to visit. I would say miniature grand canyon.
Ideal time would be winter - it really gets hot in summer would not suggest that time at all...DuDe...
