★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i am a pass out from PGDIT. In case you choose this course for placements "i dont recommed" speaking from my and several other seniors experience. This degree i good only for students wanting to complete their 16 years of education. The college System is just like any other government office, you dont get what you pay for, they lack motivation and encouragement, they have EGO ISSUES.
I suggest,
1) Head of department should consist of 2 or more professors who we can approach.
2) Schedule to be more professional.
3)More Exposure
4) Computer Systems to be functioning (half the time we were installing softwares. and the portion would be delayed/ Excluded)
5)DELIVER AS YOU PROMISE WITH PLACEMENTS

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place, Kalina main gate (on the top warli painting) to Garware college it takes 5-10 mins by walking. Different professional courses, Certificate,Short diploma,Post Graduate diploma,Masters courses available.Good teaching, avarage fees, Library, Laboratory, Computer Laboratory available.Garware canteen is good, nearby only place for food famous for Dal khichadi (all time available) Pineapple shira.Greenary arround.Fresh environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite of government rules, the university didn't allowed students appearing for exams, saying that the fees were pending. The university offered installment facility for fees payment and two installments were already paid then too due to the mismanagement and poor communication of the Garware institute students were not allowed to appear for the exam.

Garware has very worst staff, their work, replies, is so unexpected, their website is also not updated every time we check, if we r paying fees in lakhs then we expect something from this collage.they also took placement fees n they don't give placement.Dont take admission in this collage n dont waste ur time too..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disclaimer: Every student experience is different. This review is only posted with an intent for future prospects for a student while considering PGDIT as an option at GICED.
I am giving a three star since I had beautiful memories and this degree worked well for me(I am removing two stars that I am mentioning in cons), however for my other classmates the experience was from worst-average. (one-two stars)
Pros:
1. Staffs/Teachers are very helpful when it comes to internal exams and guidance on projects.
2. They keep on changing the syllabus which is more of updating/upgrading the content which is helpful when a student steps into the market.
3. Degree is reputed and known in the IT market.
4. It can definitely be considered for people with 3 year bachelors degree aspiring for abroad education and needs total 16 years of education.
5. Easy Grading.
6. Great for people if they want to switch from other departments into IT field.
7. Many different courses are available
Cons:
1. Not recommended for students who come with an intent of getting placed/are particular in search of jobs. Placement is something you would have to look on your own. Degree is good for people who want to go for abroad education/ or already has a job or have contacts of their own to get into a company.
2. Lacks professionalism at times- esp. when it comes to schedule (Timetable/timings of lectures) , communication with students, etc.
3. At times, lacks encouragement when it comes to planning industrial visits and participating in extra curricular activities.
4. No proper IT lab facility.- dirty classroom, with no AC in summer, water dripping from AC, less PCs working with no proper configuration.
5. At times, experienced monopoly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you really want to learn something, to achieve your goals, than please never take admission or suggest anyone to study in garware institute (Kalina,Santacruz).
Pathetic & worst service by teaching & Non-Teaching staff.
Not value for single star. Staff doesnt have sense to talk either with student or with parents.
Also they dont have any idea about any query. They behave like Municipality officers (Third class).
I had passed out 3 years ago but still they had not provided the scorecards.
