★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Dec 2019 I was on Mumbai to goa cycling journey on day 3 I took halt here on the tower, as villagers said there is leopard activities recently.
Washroom and bathroom was in some what working condition here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to spend evening time at this beach. This beach is not crowded at all which is the best thing. Best time to visit is evening after 5pm. Only a couple of food stalls are nearby and a small restaurant but it was not open when i visited this place. Apart from beach pine trees are another attraction. You can just take walk or play something etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can see this beautiful beach while travelling on the Ratnagiri - Rajapur road, on the right side, after crossing the Purnagad creek bridge. The Gavkhadi village is very next to this beach, on the left side of this road.
This is one of the cleanest, best and popular beach in Ratnagiri. It is located 24km from main Ratnagiri city.
Very less crowded and calm beach.
This beach is approximately 1 km long with a clean sea water.
There is a river which is situated to the right side of Gavkhadi beach named Muchkundi river. Entire Purnagad fort is visible from the backwaters of the river.
The beach has got beautiful dense Pine tree forest. This well maintained pine forest is the reason that why I like to visit this beach again and again.
The Turtle Conservation volunteer project is located on this beach with the help of local villagers.
Best place to plan small picnics, half day trips from Ratnagiri city along with family and friends.
There are no restaurants, shops, food stalls near this place so you have to carry your food, water with yourself.
Nearby locations: Purnagad fort, Kasheli point, Kasheli Kanakaditya Mandir i.e. Surya Mandir, Adivare temple, Swami Swarupanand Samadhi Pawas.
