★ ★ ★ ★ ★ মেদিনীপুর জেলার পুরনো কালী মন্দিরের কথা বললে অবশ্যম্ভাবী ভাবে ঘোলাগেড়িয়ার কালী মন্দিরের কথা বলতেই হবে। বহু প্রাচীন কাল থেকে এখানের কালী প্রসিদ্ধ। কথিত আছে গ্রামে কলেরা ও বসন্তের মহামারীর হাত থেকে বাঁচতে এই মন্দির প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। এক সময় মন্দিরটি চারপাশে নির্জন পরিবেশ ছিল। গা ছম ছম করত। ক্রমশ লোকালয় বাড়ছে। তবে মন্দির প্রতিষ্ঠার সাল জানা যায় না, মন্দির গাত্রে কোনো ফলকও নেই। এই কালী ডাকাতিয়া কালী নামেও পরিচিত। আগে মূল পুজোর দিন আশেপাশে কোথাও না কোথাও ডাকাতি হত। শিবরাত্রিতে মূল পুজোটি হয়। বিরাট মেলা বসে। এখন প্রত্যেক অমাবস্যাতেও পুজো হয়। মন্দিরের পরিবেশটি খুব ভালো। মনোরম শান্ত পরিবেশ। বকুল গাছের ছায়ায় ঢাকা। সামনে NH60 link road। তবে মোরাম রাস্তা। ভালো লাগার অনেক কিছুই পাওয়া যায় এখানে।
