★ ★ ★ ★ ★ stay at the hotel was ok, the hotel is conveniently located 100 meters away from the safari start point and the main market. in fact we even saw a live crocodile across the river. the hotel while operated by ihcl the brand that owns the taj had nothing taj about it. to start with at the time of check-in the check-in clerk mentioned that our plan included lunch, dinner and breakfast however since we had reached at 6 we had already missed our lunch! when I objected saying I can have my lunch tomorrow right, on which he said "aise nahi hota hai sir" on seeing I didn't like his response he replied saying we will adjust!the room was average, the toilet seat was broken and fixed after we complained 3 times, the flush had water flow issues. we requested a room change but we were denied saying the hotel is sold out (it wasn't). we had planned on extending our stay but seeing the attitude we decided to move to a different hotel.the food in the buffet was average and tasteless (possibly because being north Indians we want more spice and salt) however, the restaurant staff was always more than happy to fix something nice and spicy for us.overall the stay would have been ok had it been any other hotel, however, when you stay at ihcl the brand that owns the taj your expectations go up! won't recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you Taj Getaway team for taking care of us with warmth. Initially we booked our stay for two days however we extended our stay just wanted to relax and enjoy gourmet food and hospitality of Taj getaway team.
Apu Sir and Younus other team members you all were amazing, Chef Jamal Shah Gujarati thali was delicious and decadent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really wonderful experience at this place. Really close to forest and staff is really good. The safari jeep comes directly to the hotel. Hotel provides really good guides of the forest. We could see both the lion and leopard in same safari. And really great place right in the middle of the jungle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place to stay in Gir… next to Sinh Sadan(safari point). Food is on costlier side. Taste is above ok and can be customised and requested to chef. Ambience and services are excellent. Rooms are of old pattern style and can be updated

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful property beside the Hiran river on the fringes of the forest. Loving hospitality by every member of the staff, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff and the friendly manager, Mr Rajeev. The food was amazing, served with love.
I would definitely recommend this place for a serene getaway from the city!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great hotel to stay in Sasan Gir. Clean and modern rooms, good amenities, great food options and buffet, helpful courteous staff. Secluded location and next to the safari pick up point. We had a very enjoyable & normally stay. Definitely recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have stayed at The Gateway Hotel Gir Forest for 3 nights 4 days, On the day when it designated as "Gir Serai" (On 1st Feb, 2022). It was the best experience. Though the infrastructure is around 35 years old, Taj has maintained it wonderfully well. And above it, the service and the hospitality... I must say it's 'Top Notch'... Extremely satisfied. Actually we have booked The Fern Gir Forest Resort & stayed there for 2 nights, but the experience of The Gir Serai is far far better. The cleanliness, the food, the service, everything is much more appreciable at The Gir Serai. In Real Sense The Best Hotel, Calm & Comfortable Place to stay @ The Gir...
