★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very disappointed with Global desi. Bought a maroon velvet crop top in extra small size from their outlet in Palladium. It was loose! I wear size small or extra small of almost all Indian as well as international brands but even their extra small was very loose! The staff at the store convinced me that their tailor would be able to alter it to my size. The tailor is in the AND outlet in the next building and not in the Global Desi outlet so you can't get the tailor's opinion on problems with alteration before buying the top. This is probably one of their ways of getting their stuff sold before the client realises how many issues the tailoring has.
Got it altered twice but the fitting issues are not yet resolved and there are new creases every time the tailor does anything. The tailor refuses half the suggested alterations because the material isn't good to work on (stitches will show, it will become uneven, etc., etc.). The tailor even told me that half the problem areas I'm pointing out can't be resolved because there will be other problems if he tries to do that. I now realise that I will not be able to wear this top because one cannot wear something with so many creases, sags, etc.
Really surprising that a brand of repute accepts such shoddy work from their designers and tailors. No idea of size or fit. No possibility of alteration of most issues either. I have bought multiple things from global desi in the past but probably won't buy from them again after this bad experience.
