★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is not a river, its a lake. And there are no boats but inflatable rafts and kayaks. What you get to see is a picturesque lake populated by wild migratory fowl. It will be a real treat if you carry along a pair of binoculars. You get to see wild animals (Sanbar, Neelgai, wild boars during our trip) at the edge of this lake at dusk. The variety of birds in numbers can be witnessed at dawn (apparently). This facility is run by the local young men of the village who are fluent in Hindi and Marathi. They have been trained by forest rangers and are able to give the English names of all the birds that you come across. They are quite amiable and affable.
Note: An hour long ride cost Rs.800 for four. Though you are given the paddles, they do the paddling most of the time. You would be asked to remove your shoes/ footwear on boarding and your feet are bound to ge wet
