★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have travelled all around India and have stayd in many youth hostels. They are usually very basic, but clean. The youth hostel in Bhopal is not. We were vising Bhopal on a college trip; a group of 24 people ... Half the group fell ill because of the unhygienic conditions. The warden Mr Manoj was sweet and helpful, always tried to sort any issues we faced but the rest of the staff was lazy and did not care. Now let me talk about the condition of the hostel ....... Its Extremely dirty especially the toilets(none of the flush work, toilet seats are broken, no hot water available even in winter), lots of bed bugs, musty old mattresses (It's almost like having a death wish if one is asthematic or suffers from dust allergy)... As of now, there is some major renovation work going on, so the air was filled with dust and cement ... Weird guests in other dormitories kept asking our students, who were mostly girls; for their phone numbers ... We had to shift to another hotel ... So all in all it was a truly nightmarish experience ...
