GreenWoods Cooperative Housing Society - Mumbai

A good society with a good crowd. Flats are small, but on the higher end of rent spectrum due its proximity to highway and WEH Metro. For people looking to move in, you will have to pay upfront 24k per flat for clubhouse and gym (mandatory). The parking for 4 wheeler is limited and one per flat, but owners will charge. We were asked 4k for a slot. Otherwise good place to be in Andheri East. Close to station, highway and metro.

Nice Clean Safe Reaidential colony

This is a large housing society with 12 blocks, each with 9 floors and 6 houses in each floor. That's a total of 648 houses! The homes are equipped with gas pipeline and service areas. There's covered parking and open parking, jogging/walking tracks, a large garden, children's play area, swimming pool with an instructor, gym with a trainer and a small community hall/club house with pool table, chess board and a few other board games. The society walls are lined with large trees which provide much needed greenery and look good too. The location is fantastic! It is situated right next to the Western Express Highway Metro Station (which literally a 30 sec walk) and 1.5 km from Andheri Station. Accessing Andheri West, East is a breeze with the metro. The metro also connects with wester local line (at Andheri) and central line (at Ghatkopar). The only downside is that there are no major grocery stores near by where you can buy vegetables. We overcome this via Big Basket, Dunzo etc when we are at home else We buy from the Dadar vegetable mandi in our way back from work. For everything else, there is a well equipped Kirana store called Janta store that has everything and delivers home as well. There is also an In & Out convenience store close by at a fuel pump where you can get most of your nick knacks and other basic items. Else, JB Nagar market is one Metro station away where you can get everything. Pharmacies (D T Shah is great!), Diagnostics lab, xerox shops are very close by. For housewives, there is the convenience of vegetable vendors who set up a stall inside the society everyday in morning and everyone, but unfortunately it's during work hours and this doesn't suit working women. The people are nice here, quite wealthy (quite a few Mercs and Audis) well mannered. Most of them are owners. There are lots of kids who play around in the evenings. The society association is an organised function with a proper office and employees. They manage the affairs farely well. This was especially evident during the Covid Pandemic when access control, hygiene measures, interaction with BMC and consensus building was done on a regular basis. Of course, many residents have complains (some long standing) like leaking pipes, rats during rains etc. but nothing major. Society issues are discussed via an App which also facilitates maintenance payments and invoice generation. The security is quite elaborate and helpful. There are security guards at both road side entry and the main entry inside after the driveway. Each block has a security guard, and there is wide range CCTV coverage. Entry exit of visitors is being recorded via the App which also generates entry and exit pass. Getting maids/cooks is not an issue. There are a few downsides though. The society is quite old and is in need of repairs (esp painting and plumbing which has led to a major seepage problem at homes in kitchen and bedrooms, especially during monsoon) which is being done via a contractor at the cost of a few crores. This is a long term job (2-3 years). The workers have been accommodated in the society itself and buildings are covered with Bamboo sticks just like in a construction sight. The plumbing work (repairing of main pipelines that are inside the building walls which need to be cracked open) and the cementing work creates a bit of rubble at some spots but it's cleared quickly. Residents are advised to stay away from those spots, even though a protective net is provided. The Bamboo sticks which are tied to the balconies via jute ropes provide an easy access to rats that can come in a create a havoc. This can be avoided by installing mesh/net at all windows and closing the windows/doors in evenings. Also, the water here is very hard and leads to calcification if not wiped away. Definitely not good for hair as it is leading to serious hair loss issues for us. Please install a water softener if you can. It is also hard on your water purifier systems. Do take an AMC for it. Overall a very nice housing society. Rents are 50k-70k for 2 BHK.

In the midst of all chaos of Andheri - this residential building offers calm and quite surrounding ! Good place for kids to play and clubhouse is also good . Small garden but very relaxing for senior folks of the community .

A gym, a swimming pool, a clubhouse, a party hall, a children’s play area, a jogging track -- even a library. Loaded with amenities Greenwoods Co-Op Housing Society is centrally located just below Western Express Highway metro station, on Andheri-Kurla Road. There's no noise from the highway because the society is located well within the premises, far away from the main road. Parking available.

Crazy Building with Crazy people living in it in an amazing way of course!! Killer building for bachelors... Welcome to GS :p Dont forget to invite youngsters for housewarming! :p
