One can reach from Guptipara (Hooghly) to Santipur (Nadia) and from Santipur (Nadia) to Guptipara (Hooghly) through the Guptipara Santipur "Ferry Service" and there are two boats and two jetties available here. Ferry service starts from 6 a.m. in the morning and ferry service closes at 8 p.m. at night. Life jackets are available here and daily more than 1000 passengers avail the ferry services. So many people avail the service just for a joy ride over the beautiful river Ganges (Bhagirothi). Anyone can avail the service to purchase a ticket of ferry service from the ticket counter. During the meetup we checked, but did not find any wheelchair accessible toilet and seating arrangement for special needs persons and any other person at Guptipara ferry ghat. The ferry service opens at 6'o clock in the morning and the service sustains till 8 p.m. We also updated the location on "Google Maps". During the meet-up, we found, the name of ferry ghat was wrongly shown as "Guptipara Ferry Ghat", we suggested an edit to correct the name of the ferry ghat as " Guptipara Santipur Ferry Ghat". We also suggested few another edits and we added place during the meet-up. Traveling by a car? Want to cross the river here to reach southern parts of Nadia district? Your car cam be ferried by the local municipality to the other side of the river at a nominal cost. Loved it.

Very dusty road and the road is not maintained at all for long time. Caution:- Beware of thief. From motigonj you can travel here by local bus, trekker or by using TOTO that would be available for almost every time. This ghat is also used to transport bus, car trucks and some other vehicles over the river to reach the another side of the ghat by using big troller. This is also a good place for picnic but here some restrictions are made up..

Nice place not so modern, vessel service available(Lory, four wheelers, two wheelers, moped van etc ), lonch boat also available as public transportation.. government should take care of it ad it's playing a very important role to build communication between hoogly and Nadia district...

This is only connecter between Hoogly and Nadia District by ferry service. From Santipur to Guptipara, two older cities of Bengal. there are two boats and two jetty available here. ferry service start from 6 am to 10 pm night.life jackets are available here daily average 1000 public use this linkage.the main attreaction here is breath of Ganga.
