β β β β β Chheharta Sahib is a town located 7 km [1] west of Amritsar city of Punjab in India, on the Grand Trunk Road leading to the Pakistan border. The town derives its name from the Gurudwara Chheharta Sahib, established by the fifth Sikh Guru Guru Arjan Dev ji
Guru Arjan Dev ji, the fifth Sikh guru, had a large well constructed in this area. The well was so large that it required 6 Persian wheels to operate. Chheharta got its name from the six wheels, where six is chhe (Punjabi: ΰ¨ΰ©), and the Persian wheel is called hart (Punjabi: ΰ¨Ήΰ¨°ΰ¨ ).

β β β β β It's very calm and peaceful worship place. Related to Shri Guru Arjun Dev ji, The fifth Guru of sikhs. Feeling blessed after visiting this place. Here a well with six 'harts' ( A device wich brings water out from well). By which this place get it's name. very huge community kitchen hall and very tasty food.

β β β β β This gurdwara is very beautiful surrounded by beautiful gardens.. convenient parking is also available inside this gurdwara.. The only problem of here is that the road that leads to this gurdwara is very congested.. there are alot of shops on the both side of the road so it is good to visit here during weekdays not on weekends
