Biggest but worst hospital of bhopal. Equipped with every infrastructure n qualified doctor but infrastructure in not working condition and doctors busy running their own private hospital. Staff members are famous for their rude behaviour and seems like they are unaware of Swachh Bharat Aviyan.Aiims bhopal will be best option if they provide all the services provided still recommend visiting AIIMS Bhopal then Hamidia

The latest expansion plan for Hamidia aims to create a state-of-the-art multi-speciality "Smart Medi-City" with 2000 beds, a medical college with the intake of 250, and residential quarters for the staff. Designed as a LEED Platinum Green rated complex, Hamidia overlooks the magnificent Grand Lake and has been designed around several notable historical and religious buildings within this precinct, all of which are integral to the urban fabric of the area.[1]

Government hospital, renovating and making steps for improvement of health care services that are supposed to be at the lowest cost. The hospital is connected to the Government Medical College named after Gandhi ji. The students of the college are privileged to take part in the research, training and development opportunities available as a 24-hour facility to them. They observe and get trained under the able guidance of the very senior government certified doctors already conducting most of the treatments meticulously. These sections were being managed in a very small conjusted area and the huge number of patients visiting daily had been multiplying. To be able to cater to the majority of basic medical requirements to people, the cost of treatment has been maintained very nominal by the government. This has increased the possibility of more patients walking in and reduced the cleanliness and accuracy of the tests and treatments, maintenance of the infrastructure and proper guidelines. New construction has been initiated for more than a year now to expand and spread the different sections appropriately, to try and improve the regulation of services and guidelines, to provide better and better facilities like the new lifts, and wheelchairs for the disabled. The parking has been designed and developed to help more number of vehicles move in and out easily. The management has suddenly got into action in order to improve the regulations and facilities but not yet to the benchmark. Though the people of Bhopal and surrounding locations still have a chance to make a positive notion of the improvement.

It's a government run hospital. This is how Wikipedia define this hospital. "Hamidia Hospital is a multispeciality tertiary care teaching hospital in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was earlier known as Prince of Wales King Edwards Memorial Hospital for Men. It is affiliated to Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, in the capital of Madhya Pradesh." It's a Central hospital serving the whole Madhya Pradesh. Doctor to patient ratio is real low, medicines are not available, doctors are living a stressful life, as they can diagnose the disease but can't cure it due to lack of medicines. In general OPD you'll find long queues.

One of the major healthcare Hub of the city,it's run by government of MP ,point to note is that this place is very much crowded ,no of pateints are large so you have to wait in lines for your checkup it's associated with the Gandhi medical College,It's very easy to reach via city bus and personal vehicle or taxi but there is lot of traffic on sultania road in old part of bhopal, for your checkup you first have to register from the old office which is situated near Gandhi medical college
