★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is clean and well maintained multi storey animal hospital with 10 practicing veterinarians in addition to the helping staff. The doctor who attended to my dog was very polite and answered all my questions patiently and in detail. And the consulting fee was also at par or even cheaper than many independently practicing vets.
Due to COVID-19 measures you may not be able to accompany your dog to the check-up room but if you voice your concern about this they may allow one pet parent to accompany their pet as was in my case.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is nothing happy about the tails that are taken to this clinic to get treated. The doctors here have been given the gift of gab; unfortunately that’s only skill they have. They will talk you into the sweet spot of emotional stress and helplessness, and manipulate into getting expensive procedures/surgeries performed on your pet; which won’t even help your pet get any better. They gave my pet General Anaesthesia (GA) + Sedative and asked to take him back home within 20 mins. They very conveniently dint even mention what anaesthesia was given on the report and when asked, they hesitated to state it. GA is given when performing surgeries, not for a regular catheterization procedure. Even if GA has been given, the patient needs to be kept under observation for atleast 6hrs (mind you, even when given to humans, they are supervised for atleast 6hrs). Here, however wasn’t the case. I regret taking baby here and putting him in the arms of death.
Mine isn’t the only such case, but several others who have been through a similar experience. They kept ‘treating’ my friends dog, without being able to diagnose the issue. ‘Treated’ (extracted money), deteriorated the dogs health and put him through torture for 4 months. Luckily, they approached another vet (well in time) who immediately treated the dog and brought him back to HEALTH in no time.
They care about money, money and only money. So, if you have a lot of money to spend, don’t care about putting your pets through mental, emotional and physical stress, Happy Tails is the right place for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please go here. If you have a pet you love.. whether Indian breed or any other if you live them as much , please go here. The doctors , the staff and every single person here loves your furry friend just the way you do. They will tell you what can be done .. and what cannot.they wont force things / pet food/ medications etc onto you. Im very thankful to Dr Karkare and his team for saving my great dane on that dreadful day when we rushed him to the hospital in an emergency . They saved him ??.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Happy Tails…well my experience with them is a ‘sad’ tale with them. We have taken our 8-month-old kitten there for a catheter procedure and we lost him. Initially, I have taken my kitten for sonography and the doctor in their Khar centre recommended we visit their Chembur branch and meet the surgeon over there for a further course of action. As instructed, we met the surgeon at Chembur centre and she had mentioned to us that our kitten can be treated with medicines and no need for surgery. She had added a couple of other medicines along with his current medication. We returned that evening and the next morning the same problem occurred and we took our pet to Chembur centre again. The doctor immediately talks about the need for surgery, without even checking the condition and asked us to visit the reception downstairs and complete the documentation (consent form). When we questioned the need for a consent form they cited that it is mandatory, whereas in their Khar centre they haven’t asked us to sign any consent form. By the time we completed the documentation procedure our kitten was taken to the other floor and after a long wait, they got back the kitten in a hallucinated (sedative effect) state. The doctor mentioned that they performed the catheter procedure and gave anaesthesia and assured us that the kitten would be in a normal state in the next few hours and asked us to complete the payment process. To our surprise (rather a shock), they repeated all the tests, although we have got blood, urine, x-ray and sonography done two days ago. We paid the amount and returned home. That entire evening & night our kitten was in the same state and till morning the sedative effect was still there. When we called up the doctor in Chembur state she advised us to visit their Juhu branch and get the surgery done. They are a money-making team and don’t care about the emotional trauma they put the pet and their parents into. We lost our kitten within 24 hours of the visit to their centre. The team at happy tails just pass the buck from one centre to another centre. It was a horrifying experience to see our kitten dying in pain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Happy Tails is the best vet center in Mumbai. I've been to horrible vet centers that boast a lot of doctors from abroad and they ruined my dogs health. I came to happy tails with my pet and was finally treated well. They saved my pets life. I love this facility as well, its newer and a nice set up for post covid as well.
