SKN Haryana City Gas Distribution Pvt Ltd is registered under the company act 1956, it is a unit of SKN Group. SKN HCGDL is authorized by the State Government of Haryana to distribute CNG and PNG in Gurugram (Haryana). The company also got the authorization from Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for distribution of city gas distribution in Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) and Puducherry (UT).
Having a proven track record of implementing, operating, maintaining and expanding the City gas distribution network in a safe and effective manner. SKN HCG has been supplying CNG and PNG through gas pipe lines to Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors and also through CNG Stations in Gurugram, Haryana and Bhiwadi, Rajasthan and Puducherry operations will commence soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sole supplier of natural gas in Delhi, Indraprastha Gas Limited, and the Haryana Government have got entangled in a legal tussle as the State while ignoring the fact that IGL had been allocated gas by the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas for supply to both Faridabad and Gurgaon, had allocated these districts to Gujarati Adani Energy Limited and Haryana City Gas Distribution Limited respectively.
As while issuing orders to the effect, the Haryana Government had not specified any reasons for not considering IGL for these towns, despite its having carried out a lot of pre-project activities, IGL -- which supplies compressed natural gas (CNG) for vehicles and piped natural gas (PNG) for domestic and commercial in Delhi -- has questioned the logic behind the order, especially when it would make supply of gas more expensive for the residents of these townships.
Though the Haryana Government had allocated it the districts of Sonepat and Panipat, this has not helped much as the company believes that it was better prepared for the townships south of Delhi due to their proximity to the main gas pipelines and development quotient.
According to IGL, which has taken up the issue of denial of rights to distribute gas in Faridabad and Gurgaon with the MoPNG, "the orders of Haryana Government clearly indicate a biased and pre-planned approach, denying IGL the grant of requisite permission to carry out the city gas distribution projects for which Government of India had already authorised them while making gas allocation.'' Incidentally, IGL had been allocated 0.7 million cubic metres per day of natural gas for Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida and Greater Noida. But in August the Haryana Government had taken the decision on allocation. Besides Gurgaon, it had also given Rewari, Jhajjar and Rohtak to Haryana City Gas Distribution Limited.
