★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Am a doctor who is working in one of the reputed tertiary care hospital in Delhi.. am sharing here the worst experience with Hdfc ergo gen health insurance. I had admitted my wife with diagnosis of meningitis in Apollo hospital which is there in cashless hospital list of ergo. Initially everything went well.. but when it came to bill payment.. ergo denied insurance claim saying that my wife had preexisting disease.. as such she didn't have any pre-existing disease that suppose to affect present diagnosis. i.e previously she had typhoid and febrile illness.. which is completely curable disease with medical treatment. On top of this above ailment has been mentioned during their phone enquiry. Why am sharing this experience here is.. if this can happen to a doctor.. wat about other non medico people.. think before taking this policy.

Customer care executives have no knowledge so you will never get any satisfactory answer from them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would say people should not buy policy from them. By chance if you have to claim for loss of car it will take almost 11 months.very slow and will ask one paper after the other. Running around has to be done to submit the papers.

One day, on my way to office, I met with an accident. I was on my Bajaj Pulsar motorbike, which was drastically damaged by an Innova car. Fortunately, I was not much injured by the accident, but my bike was damaged by all means. I immediately called my insurance agent, so he could help me with the bike towing and made other arrangements as well. Within half-an-hour time, an HDFC ERGO executive came at the accident spot and took my bike while I was taken to a nearby clinic for basic care. They not only approved the accident claim within few hours but also gave me personal accident benefit that was there in my policy. Thank you HDFC ERGO for saving my bike and my money.

I've always heard of stories how travel insurance policies helped people in adverse situations while they are on a trip abroad. So when I heard that my husband was also planning a business trip to London soon, I forced him to buy the international travel insurance policy. Though he was not much convinced with the idea then, considering that nothing would happen but when I constantly insisted, he purchased the policy from HDFC ERGO general insurance company.
