β β β β β Hemen & Co began its journey in 1948 and very soon earned a name in musical instruments trade. Itβs owner Hemen Sen migrated to Kolkata post the partition of India. Big names like Ustad Allauddin Khan, Pandit Ravi Shankar and many others had their sitar, sarod and other instruments maintained and repaired here. George Harrison of Beatles fame visited this shop in person in 80s. The glorious tradition still continues. One can buy quality musical instruments here.

β β β β β The product are really good in quality and no question about it. Such a wonderful instrument I have purchased recently. The owner is very gentle as a person, his name Ratan Paul. Price of instruments quite raise compare to the other shop.. But material undoubtedly believable.

β β β β β He is a Cheat. He charged me Rs1200 for replacing and tuning my Gitar Strings which you can easily do within 200(minimum) to 800 (maximum) anywhere in calcutta. Please avoid this shop.

β β β β β Never go to this shop. Cheaters. The proprietor is fraud. I had gone tune my harmonium and initially he asked i need to pay Rs 8500, when I said I will go else where he reduced it to Rs 4500, then to 4000 and then to 3000. Without bargaining as well. Seeing this i just could not trust the shop owner with the original parts and took away my harmonium. And finally I have got it tune at Rs 2000. Never go to this shop. Total cheaters.
