★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you have seen really good psychiatrists then you know never to go to Dr Sharma. His diagnosis is prejudiced and medication unauthenticated. He does not write prescriptions. He gives open (without labels and names), loose tablets and capsules. So you do not know what medicines are being given. You cannot even take the patient to another medical professional for second opinion.
Last year I took my mother to him as she could not travel to Gurgaon for dosage adjustments with regular psychiatrist. Someone suggested Dr Sharma. He was sure everything was in control.
My mother was given such strong sedatives that she did not fully wake up nor could get out of daze for 10 days before she died on the bed. This was despite getting admonished by Dr Sharma on requesting for changing medication or writing a prescription.
So please take your call. What he is doing by not writing a prescription and dispensing meds without declaring names or chemical compositions, is unethical practice.
May your patients be blessed and taken good care of.

Well for him I have a advice that you cannot generalize treatment experience this way.
You did not have a good experience doesnt make him an inefficient doctor.
I pray for good health for your mother.
But he is so far one of the genuine doctor and person I've known. Yes he has his own protocol and a way of diagnosing but so far his treatment has been a saviour.
So please always go and first see for yourself..and not on wat people have to say.
And then you can always decide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the worst doctor I have come across. Less of counseling, more of medication. I visited him four times for followup of my patient. Everytime he gave injection and plethora of medicines. Someone advised me not to go there. When I researched, people don't have good experience with that buddy. I took my patient to Chandigarh . When the doctor over there saw prescription, he surprised. He told that somehow diagnosis was correct but these many prescribed medicines was not required. My humble request to all those who are reading my comments should not go to Dr NK Sharma. You may go to Dr at Thakurdwara Palampur, his surname is Katoch. Full name I don't know. Many of Psychiatric patient need more of counseling than medicines ?
