Best place for morning walk among the people near by area, there you will hear the beautiful sound of peacock and so many other birds plants etc. It's a old bagh (garden) so there are so many old trees you will see.nice place to visit with friends in the middle of the city. Along with himayat bagh you can go for a trek to ganesh tekdi behind the himayat bagh.

This Bagh is full of variety of trees of fruits like mango tamarind guava etc... and non fruits, this is very historical garden and it has one sapling centre also. If you want to grow any plant at your home or else you can buy the saplings and whatever type you want you will be given at their respective costs. People from around visit this every morning and evening for jogging and walking. The varieties of trees make you feel better even if you are tired. Here you can see many bird and even Peacock. You can hear their voice when there is a pin drop silence in the surrounding area.

Please note, main gate entrance is closed, you have to take a left turn if you are coming from Delhi gate side, approx 300 mtrs inside. Open parking at your own risk. Entrance gate has a very small entrance, you have to bend while entering. Inside, its lavish green, ample area to walk and spend time.. approx 2 kms walking periphery. I could see a peahen as well.. A lot of runners and exercise enthusiasts do come for practice. There's a small lotus flowers water canal as well inside. Behind Himayat bagh, there's a Himayat hill as well, looked good for trekking, I hvnt tried though! Looked safe for kids, family, friends.. overall good place to spend time in nature & 1 hr should be sufficient, one can spend more ime as well. Some avid photographers do come as well. Nearby places to visit are 1. Salim Ali sarovar (lake - correctly closed for visitors) 2. Bibi ka makbara 3. Panchakki 4. University 5. Goga baba tekadi 6. Aurangabad caves, etc...

I think that, these kinds of places are meaningful to people because they are natural and people can be there alone, away from their everyday frustated life. I used to go there to be alone or to dream with my eyes open admiring the blue sky or the clouds. I liked to go up there to lay down on the rocks & grass, listen to the wind and watch the leaves moving.
