★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful place , historical place Soneri mahal Located 2 kilometres from the infamous Bibi Ka Maqbara and about 6 kilometres from the Aurangabad Railway Station. Beautiful garden outside , all weapons are preserved in good quality inside.The Mahal was built between 1651 AD and 1653 AD at a cost of Rs. 50, 000 and in 1934 AD it was sold to the Nizam of Hyderabad for Rs. 26, 400. The Mahal is named after the paintings in the palace that were once painted in gold.

-Ticket price is 10 INR
-The security system is top notch and one can easily park their vehicle outside campus and trace through monitor. The attender is very cooperative.
- This place falls within the way of Aurangabad caves.
One of the best places to visit in Aurangabad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The mahal is build in Rajput style. Very beautiful location and surrounding. Videography not allowed inside. The place is converted in to the museum but closed from many months. No guard or any security in the area as very few people visit this place. If you are in Aurangabad ,and have spare time you can visit this place. You can click beautiful pictures. Timing written on all the sites are not valid as Mahal complex seems open all the time. And museum is closed most of the time. Free parking outside. Place is inside the university. Name of the palace is Soneri Mahal which means golden mahal. As per the information, the paintings inside the Mahal were made using gold , so the name Golden Mahal
