★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hoggs room is a tale of grandeur and aristocracy.This is truly a hidden gem for insta lover cause the decor of this place is on another level. Probably this cafe has the best interior in Kolkata than any other cafe. As you entered this restaurant you fell like you came back at old times in 80's. A big beautiful place located at the first floor of Hotel Lindsay. the decor is very unique.The dramatic interior imparts old school vibes – chequered floor, iron furniture, rocking chair, halogen lights, some antics at the entrance like a dial phone and a thermometer etc. They also have a full bar.Kolkata needs more cafés like this ??
We ordered a few items from their limited menu – fish and chips, Shen shah pizza,smoked chicken pizza and hot chocolate fudge.?The pocket pinch feels way thriftier than other places. The attendants were very friendly and forbearing.It is one of the best cafe in Kolkata and the best part being the affordable prices of food in such a great eatery.❤️??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you love classy vintage decor, look no further than Hogg's Room. Beautiful is the word describes this place best. Located on the first floor of Lindsey Hotel, their Italian marble floor, glass chandelier, iron cast tables and chairs, old telephone and vintage clock makes you stare for a moment at the ambiance.

Staffs here are very friendly and very well behaved. Decency is the word describes them best. They welcomed us with a complimentary pink drink and it was very sweet in nature, another nice gesture from them.

2 medium sized fish fries served in traditional style with french fries and mayonnaise dip. Fries felt crispy and fish inside tasted very decent.
Roasted Chicken Pizza @ Rs.150 (4/5) :

7" small pizza sliced into 4 pieces topped with lots of Chicken slices and cheese. Pizza crust was very decent and overall it tasted good.
We enjoyed both of the dishes with Kingfisher Ultra and Budweiser Lager, both were served chill with a bowl of peanuts unlike junk foods served by other restaurants.
Pricing

One thing I must say, usually many bar set food prices excessively high like 395+ for most of the dishes in the intention of making more money from consumers. But here the food prices are set very well and affordable. Beers were priced at Rs.325 and our total bill was Rs.1044 including 2 of them.

Everything with my favourite drink and good quality food in this wonderful ambiance, couldn't resist myself from giving this place 5 star. If you're looking for a vintage restaurant to spend quality time with good food and drink in budget, this is probably the best option you have in New Market area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's exactly in the Lindsey street on the first floor of Lindsey building. Amazing ambience with mouthwatering food served by them. But their service is little bit slow . Stuff's behavior was very polite and friendly. In Kolkata it's a very pocket friendly cafe. And there classy look ? oh my God it's just love. Highly recommend to visit this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a wonderful find. Located just near the New Market, this place provides the perfect antique ambience with some great snack food. If you love heritage, if you love antiques then this is definitely your cup of tea. Food is good. Cost is very less compared to the market. Overall I would recommend the Sandwich and Coffee. Ultimate value for money.

She has a dineout account and there is a offer going on till September where you get 50% of on the total bill that you have made to some selected restaurants. The place is extremely wonderful with a lovely antique decor. We had order Garden, Roasted chicken, Neptune pizzas. Along with that we had Meridian club sandwich, Crispy fried chicken, Onion rings. For the dessert we had Hot chocolate fudge which was amazing. Each and every item was delicious. It is also kinda cheap in relation to the prices. So I would suggest you to visit this place at least once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this nice cafe in google. As mentioned in other reviews its not easy to locate it. This cafe is in the 1st floor of Lindsay hotel.
Ambience and decoration is very good. We ordered Neptune pizza, Potato wedges, Club sandwich, Iced Mocha and Oreo milkshake. After giving order we thought we ordered more for 2 persons but the items are prepared so lightly that it didn't felt heavy in the stomach.
Also the pricing is very pocket friendly.
Only one issue is that service is very slow.
To sum it up its an excellent cafe to try in the new market area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I liked the ambience and the food too much. Just seriously the food was just too good the roast chicken pizza , the chicken nuggets and caramel custard. ! Too perfect but the service and the boys i didnt liked at all. We were so thirsty after shopping under scorching sun and demanded water. But the service was so poor which absolutely broke my heart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hoggs room is located right at the center of Hogg's Market, aka New Market. This can be easily located and the place is decorated so beautifully. The food is good to the price they charge. The place is pretty big and spacious, privacy is never an issue. Rounding up Hogg's Room is a pretty place with a nice ambience and a pretty good menu to choose from. Highly recommended!
