HSR Layout Police Station - Bengaluru

Corruption at HSR Layout Police Station, Bangalore during COVID. I had been visiting HSR Layout Police Station for the last two days. My car was seized by the officials on 18th May. I was on my way to attend a meeting with Chairman at Oxford Hospital, Hosur Road (health service falls under basic service so cannot be closed). The only misfortune thing that had happened was that I received an email regarding the meeting after police stopped me for inquiry. Within few minutes I received an email but a senior officer among the officials refused to entertain as I was not speaking in Kannada. He called his junior officer to seize my car which then had to be taken away from the spot while I was trying to show the email from my mobile. He made me sit next to the driver's seat and then my car was taken away. Later on that same day, I decided to lodge my protest and found an email address from google where I can write and protest. I was hoping for some action but it was futile. I have pasted the screenshot at the bottom of this post- After 10 days, my brother-in-law came with me to get the car back. I needed his help because otherwise, I had to walk all the way to the HSR layout from my residence at Mullur. On the way, we were stopped by Sarjapur Police Station for double riding on the bike. Officers denied understanding why I need my bro in law with me to get the car. We were told to pay the fine of 250/-. Finally, after reaching at HSR Layout Police Station early in the morning, I was told to get e-stamp paper worth 130 rs. and all the car documents and report at 11am which we did. But I was told to come again later at 4 pm. after reaching at 4 pm I was told to wait for a traffic police officer to check whether any penalty is pending to be paid. After waiting for some time futile, I checked the penalty online and showed no penalty to the concerned official. I was sent back again to get the original documents. I got the sense that I am being unnecessarily troubled for no fault of mine. I decided to come again the next day but this time came with my wife. I was told to wait for another 1 hour. Then, my wife decided to talk on my behalf and had to plead to quicken the process. Finally, when the officials did all paperwork, they charged me 1100/- instead of only 500/- as fine without reciept. We were told not to disclose this to anybody. It is then when I decided that i will tell everybody. No wonder why Indians are gradually moving away to settle overseas. Such is the corruption in this country that without any fault of ours, we end up being harassed and on top of that looted. Such corrupt officials make us repent of being born in India. I wanted to vent my anger and frustration out, hence this post.

I would like to inform you all, I visited the HSR layout cyber police station on 29th April 2021, there was a online scam from one of the shopping application for INR 26000 , I was in a hope these police officer will help me but of course as expected the cop informed me our office timings are from 10 am to 1 30 PM , please come tommorow as per our timings with some rental agreement documents,I was shame on my country for appointing such officers who doesn't even bother to resolve the customers problem,he is keep on asking me how that amount got debited without your approval, My phone number and account has been hacked and I was shocked when 26 k debited ,but at the beginning he decided and informed me we can't do anything in this case money is gone it's gone just bring all the necessary documents to register a complaints,I was a shameful act ,by GOds grace and with my friends support I have done some investigation and i have received my money.. I request all the police of Bangalore, please help your level best to support the common people like us, don't show off that your a cyber police, please be responsible for understanding your responsibility,and support those who are in really need of your support, please do not work for money ,work for people who believe in you ,it is very difficult to get a good police man in this society to support us when we need it ?... I request you please understand the problem of poor without expectations GOD will help you back ..

Staff were very polite when arresting me. Car was very clean and quite comfortable. The room was a very basic, not much decoration going on, but still got a great sleep in those comfy mattresses. Checking out in the morning was very exceedingly pleasant. Would highly recommend and will be back again for sure.

Today I saw an event go wrong in agara lake. Following which I contacted 100 which routed me to hsr police station limits .I spoke to a person called Mr Srinivas who immediately came to the spot in the hoyasala.I spoke to him and requested him to arrange a person stationed at the park for safety of walkers and briefed him with the incident which took place. He was very humble and gave us confidence that there is nothing to fear and told us he will discuss the issue with the higher officials and see what can be done about it and will definitely take action. I want to appreciate his attitude and his approach as well as the response time. Also hope that as thousands of walkers walk the park in the morning they station someone there. HSR police station ( Law and order ) is a well functioning institute. Officers here are well informed , cooperative and citizen friendly in nature. Many facilities like HOYSALA ( mobile police help ) are very quick in response and actions too. My interaction with them both in recent and in past is fairly good. My recent interaction with Mr.Mahantesh was very helpful.

Very worst experience, not even a single star they deserve.... cops are very arrogant and rude they treat common people as their slaves... being as a SI he will act like anything his attitude and speaking style is like same as rowdy he is unfit for his job, he doesn't know how to respect women not even a elders. Proper training MUST be required for cops here atleast to remember their duties... This is not the place for poor people issues will never resolve if we didn't pay anything to them... Money speaks a lot and also influence is mandatory here otherwise don't expect anything from them. Proper action must be taken by higher authority else they will loot us like anything. Be aware of this kind of police men's think twice before visiting else we will lose our respect/nice insult from them.....

The inspector at Hsr police station is not just he is very partial towards his family and relatives. When ever approached with issues that require his attention. It is taken very lightly, if inspectors who are suppose to protect the people behave this way who are we suppose to go to? And does the law not apply to family members just because your a cop?
