The city of joy has been experiencing tough time during this pandemic and after lockdown, budget is a big concern for everyone. People are searching for budget friendly place. I found Hungerpangs, a budget friendly road side cafe for tasty veg recipes. Hungerpangs is located on the EM Bypass (just next to Gautam's) and quite famous for pure veg food recipes. Idle for dinner as they serve till late night, specially on weekends. They have wide range of veg food starting from Tea or Coffee to Mocktails, starters to main course and Shakes or Smoothies to Desserts. I went with a group of 5 person and found it very reasonable. They have a limited space for 10-15 person. We ordered couple of options like In Shakes & Beverages: - Oreo Shakes - Hot Coffee with Chocolates In Starter: - Peri Peri French Fries - Pan fried Cheese Momo - American Cheese Sandwich - Chilli Garlic Cheese Maggie - Crispy Chilli Babycorn In Dessert: - Hot Chocolate Brownie We enjoyed our time with tasty veg foods and I will surely visit again as it is easily accessible from Saltlake and EM Bypass. Very good option for hangout with friends and family for evening snacks or dinner in a low budget.

Tucking away in the E.M Bypass road , sometimes You Have to think twice before going to any food stall but here I suggest this place, Hungerpangs which exactly located just beside the goutams, close to Mani Square Mall! First of all I would like to say one thing that this place is very little food joint accompaning approx 10-12 seats and here you can get huge options at a very affordable rate under a one roof. According to the location , this place serves different kind of food variety at a affordable rate and that is worth mentioning. Quality and quantity of all food was good according to the price rate. Ambience- not that much environment to mention. Very simple ambience , they can afford tables for 10-15 people. Neat and clean all around. Staff- All staffs were very polite and courteous. Let's talk about their lip smacking spread: We took kesar chai - it was served in a cup and quantity was really good. Now talk about the flavour that was quite remembering. I really liked that kesar chai. Balance of sweetness was perfect. Cold coffee with ice cream- I loved it! It was served alond with one scoop of vanila ice cream. Taste was good. Steamed Momo- 6 pieces of veg momo come along with Tomato sauce and special momo sauce. As my hearts says"Momo should be always in chicken" but this place is only served veg food so this veg momo is not that much bad ,the stuffings of cabbage with mayo was perfect and the outer coating was soft so overall I liked their veg momo. U can not get this kind of quantity at other places at this affordable rate. Crispy chilli mushroom- Mushroom is my all time favourite! Here In this place I have no complain about their quantity in food but yesss sometimes I felt that some dishes need to be improved taste wise. Like in this dishes mushroom was quite overfried to me. Taste was ok. Not too much bad not too much good. Red Sauce pasta- Pasta was ok to me. May be I felt the spices was not in a perfect balance to compliment the pasta. Here you can get Chinese food also: Veg fried rice and chilli panner (combo) - combo was rely good. Paneer cube was soft and the taste of the gravy was really good but in rice was bit oily to me. Otherwise the porition of veggies was good and taste was also good. Brownie with vanila ice cream- don't compare this brownie to the other restaurants because there u get the same brownie at a high rate. Here it is served at a very affordable rate. And the size of the brownie was quite good and the portion of vanila ice cream was huge over the top of the brownie. Overall like this small snack joints! U can not find this kind a place near bypass as so easily with so much variety in the menu card. So that's the most worth remembering part. I would like to mention that overall food was good according to the price. Quantity was also good. Even they also take the orders of Birthday party too! So nice experience Keep the good work up !.

While Returning from Mani Square, Found this Cafe on EM Bypass just Beside the Goutam's. Its a Pure Veg Cafe. It Remains open to late night. On both side of Em Bypass There were lots of Cafe and kiosk. And here is the speciality of This cafe. They Have Proper Seating Arrangements of 10-12 people at a time. I was really amazed to see their menu card. From Chai / Coffee to Mocktails, Starters to main course, Shakes/ Smoothies to Desserts all were available at very affordable price. We were 7-8 people so we want to try different Items. So ordered - 1. Keshar Chai (₹50) : Being a Chai lover ordered Keshar Chai. This Chai had good density of milk and had a good number of saffron sprinkled over it. This chai was so aromatic and good in taste. 2. Masala French Fries (₹60) : Usually we had tried French Fries of Kfc of MaC'D. This one is little different from them. Size of each and every pieces were really promising. Peri peri powder was sprinkled all over the fries and served. 3. Pan Fried Cheese Momo (₹80) : They served authentic momo. Momos had a Good stuffing of veggies and cheese. Gravy was So spicy. 4.Cheese Steamed Momo (₹70) : Fillings were same, momos were served hot. These momos were served with Tomato dips and Chilli Flakes Dips. 5. Crispy Chilli Babycorn (₹120) : Babycorn is my all Time Favourite. Quantity was Really Huge. Somehow i felt that it should be more crispy 6. Crispy Chilli Mushroom (₹120) : This Dish was my Favourite. It was made perfectly. A must try I must say 7. Blue Lagoon (₹70) : As a Refreshing Beverage, I choose Blue lagoon. It was made quite good and refreshing. 8. Cream And Cheese Vada pav (₹50) : crispy Aloo patty along with a slice of Cheese has been served inside two pav bread. Tasted good. 9. Veg Cheese Burger (₹65) : They Didn't use proper Burger Bun due to less price. But still it tasted so good. 10. Combi Pasta (₹120) : Its a mixed sauce pasta Topped with Grated Cheese. Tasted good. 11. Pasta in White Sauce (₹110) : White sauce pasta was my favourite one. It was topped with grated cheese and corn. 12. Cold coffee with Ice cream (₹60) : Cold Coffee was perfectly made. Coffee was so strong. One scoop of vanilla ice cream enhanced its taste. 13. Oreo Shake (₹65): It was Perfectly Made. 14. Chinese Combo (₹120): This Combo comes up with Veg Fried Rice and Chilli paneer. Fried rice was little oily. Paneer was good. 15. Hot Chocolate Brownie with Icecream (₹105) : A scoop of Vanilla ice cream topped with Hot Chocolate served with a piece of Medium sized brownie. Its tasted good. Walking amidst the busy lanes of Saltlake towards EM bypass, found this small little Veg Restaurant. Though they have a similar outlet at Girish Park, this outlet is spacious and has a sitting area for a group of 10 people max. Infact on the busy streets of EM bypass it pretty hard to find a restaurant who offers sitting arrangements,apart from Mani square. They are even open till 3 am, which is a huge thing. The Decor is very simple with wallpapers and a tidy sitting area and plastic chairs. Nothing fancy. What i understood, they believe in the concept of economic good food. Making the decor and items more lavish will inturn increase the price of the food. We ordered pretty much from every section to taste the different delicacies. Peri Peri french fries- 60 INR These were not like the regular french fries we eat, these were much thinner but the masala was too good. Highly recommended. Cold Coffee with Ice Cream- 60 INR The coffee was strong and the ice cream made the drink even more tasty. Price wise its a total paisa wasool. Combi Pasta (Mixed Sauce) - 120 INR The sauce was really tasty , not too spicy and has that creamy flavour with corn and Penne. Its good and is highly recommended. Peri Peri Cheese Burger - 60 INR I had a complaint with the burger bun being grilled but it was my choice. The inside was a stuffed potato patty with a thick layer of cheese. I think for 60 INR its more than enough. Pan fried Cheese Momo- 70 INR I have never seen Pan fried momo being served for just 70 INR. Its even cheaper than roadside food. The sauce was tasty and so was the stuffing. Veg Fried rice and Chilly Paneer combo - 120 INR The rice was a little too oily but tasty with vegetables. The Chilly paneer had big pieces of paneer in chilly soya sauce. The gravy was average. Hot brownie with Ice cream- 105 INR The brownie was very tasty but small in size. The ice cream and the hot chocolate made it the perfect item to end . Apart from these we also had Crispy chilly Babycorn Veg Sandwich Sweet lime Soda Blue Lagoon Crispy Mushroom. Overall a fantastic place to try veg food and that too in an economic way.

It is one such small cozy road-side cafe serving pure veg food till late night hours on the EM Bypass Road. This place is perfectly suited for a roadside dinner meetup point with friends while making a late-night trips. The Key USP of the place is it serves good veg food and it is quite reasonably priced. So well talking about the food and drinks, there were a lot of options, from Chai / Coffee to Mocktails, Starters to main course, Shakes/ Smoothies to Desserts.

Well, from having a plate of Momo at just Rs. 50 to a custom made burger for Rs.55, Kolkata has a cozy place to offer where a large plethora of spicy, tangy and absolutely mouth-watering dishes will leave you spoilt for choices. Located at E.M.Bypass, Sector 1, Salt Lake, close to Mani Square, this place offers pure veg food along with late-night service along accompanied by a cozy dining area. Needless to mention, this is the only place in that locality where you can have a sitting area and a large variety of dishes priced at surprisingly economical rates without compromising the quality and the quantity of the food. So if you're residing close to this place or driving by late night, I would recommend you to try this place out as this is going to be one of the regular places for hanging out. I had a chance to visit here with a group of my old friends and tried out a few of their signature items. Among the lot, I have listed a few with a brief description herewith: 1. Cold coffee with Ice Cream - Price: Rs. 60 The coffee had a strong flavor where on the other hand the sweetness of the vanilla icecream includes a good balance in taste. 2. Peri-Peri Cheese Burger - Price: Rs. 60 The bun was quite fresh and stuffing was quite delicious overloaded with cheese. The whole burger was grilled which made things more compact. The best companion dish would be Peri-Peri Masala French Fries, which is priced at just Rs.60. The fries are absolutely crispy, tossed with spicy masala, the fries serve as the best starters. A perfect companion for burgers. 3. Crispy Chilli Mushroom- Price: Rs. 90 As the name suggests the mushroom blocks were extremely crispy and spicy. The recipe was dry and the dish tasted delicious. 4. Combi Pasta in Mixed Sauce- Price: Rs. 120 The pasta was perfectly cooked. The taste was quite balanced and the quantity can be served to two individuals. 5. Veg Fried Rice and Chilli Paneer Combo- Price: Rs. 120 The combo deserves special mention. There was no compromise with taste as well as the quantity of the food. The panner chunks were of decent size and the gravy tasted delicious with the fried rice rich in seasonal vegetables. 6. Pan-Fried Cheese Momo - Price: Rs. 70 The gravy was totally spicy and hot whereas the cheese toppings added an extra flavor to the dish. The momos are quite authentic. 7. Hot Brownie with Ice Cream- Price: Rs. 105 Nothing beats a brownie as a dessert. I have tried this out in many places but the size of the vanilla ice cream over here is simply huge. Compared to the price of the item, the dish is totally worth it.

I ordered veg exotic pizza, their special pasta and cold coffee with ice-cream. The veg exotic pizza was cheesy and soft and also had cheese pull. It was loaded with veggies and smelled awesome. It was 9 inch and costed 338/- It is very good for veg people and I would recommend it to all the people. I myself might try it again. The special pasta was a mixture of white and red sauce pasta with veggies and cheese. The smell itself will make you drool. It was super tasty, enough for one and costed 160/- Highly recommended and I would try again. The cold coffee didn't have the icecream floating so I was a bit disappointed about that but after having it I felt they mixed the ice cream inside. Nothing special about the taste, it's ordinary but the speciality is its cost - 75/- Therefore recommended and I would try again. #Mou

Unbeatable.... No words when it comes to taste .Vegetarian choices will leave you wanting for more .... just go once, am sure you will go repeatedly.
