About Incredible India Tour

Our Company

Since 2006, we have been operating small group tours, aiming to provide a unique and personalised experience, offering a more local touch, yet from a western perspective.

Our Incredible group tours now cover India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Burma. Some of our tours are for women only, however most trips are for mixed groups. We take only very small groups minimum four and maximum just ten as we feel that the smaller the group, the more personalised trip you can have. A trip that very quickly becomes like a group of friends travelling together. With our small numbers, we can take local transportation in cities and towns for that real immersion experience, and we can fit comfortably in a small local restaurant without overwhelming the chef. We use private transport but also take the occasional flight and train.

We plan our itineraries to give you the best of group travel being shown the must-sees and hidden treasures, as well as giving you ample free time to explore on your own. We might pop in to a friend's home for a meal, or visit a small workshop of a local artisan that larger tour groups miss out on.

All of our set-departure group tours provide a foreign tour escort who understands your needs and requirements, your wishes and requests and we have local guides and contacts everywhere we go to ensure you get the best of both worlds, from knowing where the best afternoon G&T is to be found to where the favourite snack stall frequented by locals is. Our foreign escorts have an excellent general knowledge of the region, and combined with the local guides, you will have every opportunity to come away with the experience of a lifetime and a genuine understanding of the places you've visited.

With Incredible Indian Tours you'll find that we don't just travel from city to city. We get off the beaten track, take an overnight train, jump on a local bus, trek through the mountains or take a walk through a small village market, meeting locals who may have never seen foreigners before.
We hand pick our accommodations, chosen for a combination of its location, character, ambience and most importantly, our hosts. You might spend one night in a hundred-year-old palace steeped in history and the next night in a centuries old fort, a welcoming guest house or a home stay. Perhaps spend a night in the Maharaja's room or sleep under the stars on a camel safari in the desert.

Whether you are rhino or elephant spotting in a wildlife sanctuary in Nepal, searching for the best chai in India, or simply enjoying one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka, you will be confounded by the ordinary and the extraordinary.

Experience the heart and soul of the Indian Subcontinent by travelling with us on one of our organised Small Group Tours or allow us to tailor a holiday to meet your specific needs. Lands of countless and colourful festivals, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Burma. They will challenge all your senses and leave you wanting more. Is it any wonder our clients choose to travel with us again and again!

Tailor-made Tours
Group tours are not your thing, or the dates or our set departures aren't quite right? We can also organise independent escorted tours of any of our itineraries or we can plan an individualised itinerary or special interest tour with a focus on, for example, Photography, Wildlife, Cuisine or whatever you like.

We are a boutique tour operator and as such have found that we prefer to work closely with our clients, to the extent that we will not just send you off on a trip unassisted. The Indian Subcontinent is a fascinating and exciting region, but it is also the sort of place that anything can and often does go haywire. To ensure you have a hassle-free and utterly enjoyable experience all of our tailor-made trips come with a full time tour escort (either foreign or local) who is there to smooth the way, organise transport, make sure your hotel room is just right and provide for you space to have the experience you wish to have without needing to be concerned about the day-to-day travel plans. Complete scam. Stay away. As soon as I arrived at my hotel, the 'friendly' owner offered to supply a driver free of charge to drive me to the railway office to book my train travel. We went to a 'government railway ticketing building' which happened to be clearly closed with a chain locked around its closed gates. Conveniently the driver knew of this scam/travel agency which could assist, at 'no expense to myself as train ticket prices are regulated by the government'. Shortly after arriving they tried to force me into a travel itinerary spanning the duration of my entire stay in India!! They demand immediate full payment to lock in the 'great deal' because 'it will sell out asap and cost you more if you don't'. They show google images images (literally on their computer) of the region they're trying to sell you. This can no way relate to reality. How about show me pics of your accommodation or from the safari you're trying to peddle instead. They were showing me spring pictures from google images - umm hello its a totally different season right now, so manipulative and sneaky. The 'itinerary' is no more than their scrawl on a piece of paper, with rough dates for each region. No mention of accommodation or arrival/departure times. They then at the end they try to add insurance for the drivers and multiple taxes after a price has been 'agreed upon'. They would not think twice about robbing some poor hard working, law abiding, tax paying individual blind. Stay strong, say no thank you, maybe copy their itinerary as a guide and RUN AWAY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. Shoot on sight.

A taxi driver took me here where they tried to shovel a tour package down my throat. I was already taken to this 'official' office is a different part of new Delhi where they said the train ticket & hotel weren't available. They fed me the same story. Its a lie!!!!! Do everything yourself online or else they will try to trick you!!!! Anywhere you want to go is do-able, and no hotel or guesthouse is EVER full booked. Escape from here as fast as you can!!!

Never go there, if I could give a 0 I would! They bring all tourists there especially when you are in the tuc tuc (I was one of them!) and tell you that there are no trains and try to sell you everything. Only go to the real train station which is called New Delhi Railway Station and go upstairs to the tourist department. It is easy and they have a real area where you can buy the train tickets you need and at the normal price. This place on the other hand is an absolute joke - scammers! When my wife discovered that they were scamming us they were very abusive towards her...this is NOT ok!

Don't be impressed by good English skills and fast talking, and don't believe any of the 'rave reviews' written all over the walls. We booked a tour through Shafi, and from the first words it was a ton of pressure to buy what he was selling. And he was doing a convincing job. Many things on the tour did go fine, but from the get go he wouldn't answer any of my messages, he would only call the driver directly. Which gave the driver the impression he was in trouble and left us in the dark. Then our tiger tour in Ranthambore wasn't actually booked, and when I called Shafi to get things figured out he shouted at me. He refused to let me get a word in, told me the tour mess up was all my fault - because I did what the driver said to do - and protested that he couldn't do anything about any of it. I had to go myself to contact the tiger tour company directly and fight to get some sort of tour which I'd already paid for. Then, as the icing on the cake, we had booked a train from Delhi south to Kerala for the two of us. It's a 50+ hour train ride. He had almost two weeks notice, and only managed to get us one seat. Absolutely a scam, don't trust the official looking shop front.

Terrible. Such a scam, scammed into going there as we were told it was the government agency. Then the agent (Shafi) told us that we had to book immediately as things were closed for Diwali (it was Diwali but the office was still open in the coming days) We should have been more careful and checked reviews. Do your due diligence and check pricing with multiple companies before booking, no matter the pressure to 'book now'. The tour was basic and not as described by Shafi. Our driver did not speak enough English for us to ask questions or communicate effectively. They scammed us on the tour in Ranthambore park, taking the money but not providing us the tour. When we complained to Shafi he yelled at us and did nothing to make it better. We booked a train through the company and a week later when we went to board the train Shafi told us he could only get one ticket! Despite us asking multiple times for seat numbers and confirmation. Save yourself the money and pain and book somewhere else.

I went to Agra fort, taj mahal, Mathura and Vrindavan trip. 1. They concentrated only on Agra fort and taj mahal. 2. We started from greater noida at 8:30am morning and spent upto evening 5:30pm on Agra only, which Is a big drawback. 3. Coming to Mathura and Vrindavan, they only covered one important place that is lord Krishna janmabhoomi. (I.e., jail ) that too it was about to close the temple. Just we went 2 mins faster. If we would have gone 2 mins late we couldn't able to have the darshan of lord Krishna (i.e., half of the fellow tourist couldn't had darshan because they don't had idea about the timings and they got busy in photography.) 4. Lastly we went to Vrindavan it's a waste of time. It's not temple at all. They told us lie about it and made us sit on the temple and started phychological speech by changing people's mind to give money to the temple. The worst part is not only tour guide but also pandit is giving speech and asking openly to the tourist to give money in the name of lord Krishna. They first started asking money of Rs.6000 to donate to the temple and your name will be written on the temple board, then decreased amount of Rs.5000, then decreased to rs.500 you will get prasad, tulsi mala and ashirvad of lord Krishna ??( I literally started laughing there)... One uncle from our tourist bus given rs.500 then, the pandit decreased the range to rs.100 to rs.500/- atlast two members given money.. It is so disgusting to be the part of that open money laundering using lord Krishna name calling himself as pandit and keeping a normal gulli temple as tourist spot to rob money from the tourist.. so disgusting. Overall, keeping experience of the vrindavan temple aside. Most important thing to see is the Mathura lord Krishna janmsthal by luck we seen it.. If these tour people would start trip more early in the morning we would I spent more temple in Mathura temple.
