★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the finest institute dedicated to basic science in India. The IISER Kolkata campus consists of Research complex, Lecture hall complex, Academic building with library, NIvedita hall of residence, Netaji subhash chandra bose hall of residence, ICVS Hall of residence, polymer research complex, Sports complex, Cricket ground, football ground, basketball ground, volleyball ground, khokho ground, lawn tennis court, badminton court, students activity centre, swimming pool, faculty apartment and many more. There are 3 gates in campus for entrance (gate no 1 or main gate) (gate no 3 - pre fab lab side or haringhata meet plant side) (gate no 5 - balindi 7 no gate side). Those who comes from Kalyani station, gate no 5 (famously known as gate no 7) is easy to enter the campus and research complex, lecture hall complex, hostels are closer from this gate. There is also few lakes inside the campus.
Fire extinguisher and Fire Hose Cabinet is available in almost every buildings.
Maximum buildings are wheelchair accessible.

This Institute has one of best infrastructure and got a world class instrument facility. The campus is clean and beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great campus in all sense. The food is great here with a varied options available. The hostels are superb and one of the few campuses where the gender discrimination is very negligible. The staffs are great and they organise the fest in a very very cool way. I always wanted to go their every year. The campus has been developed a lot in the past few years and hope it will always remain clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst administration. hostels are in poor condition, Canteen is very small conpared to number of hostel boarders, playgrounds are not well-maintained, Most of the sports facilities are very much poor by means of infrastructure. These all are the manifestation of too much corruption.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here during VIJYOSHI 2019. Understood and experienced the hostel life its a great and fun experience came to know a lot . Very eager to visit again. The campus has been beautifully decorated with central funding. Great hostels. Seniors were so enthusiastic to show us the campus and the labs. One of the best institutions of India for science and research. Sharing my time in this institute.
