★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The eastern regional station (ERS) of the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) is located at kalyani ,Nadia district it is not so much distance from kalyani rail station.Its head quarter is at karnal, Haryana.Though it research institute for dairy cattle like cow ,goat, buffalo,sheep etc..,there is provision higher study for veterinary and animal science leading to master degree (MVCS)and PhD.A to year diploma course on animal husbandry after class xii is also running .The institute is working under the aegis council of agriculture research, department of agriculture research and education,Govt of India .Presently the Eastern regional station of ICAR - NDRI is manned with qualified and experienced research scientist who are also engaged in teaching and extension education the campus is looking very beautiful and all around the campus it is covered with the green plants and it serves a very good job to all ...the cow the buffalo and the goat sheep present there are very nice I really appreciate that it is wonderful institute I was visit here in 2019 in the purpose of regional level science Congress I was repeatedly visit there for 5 to 6 days for attending the seminar and the seminar hall is really very nice and the teacher present there is very intelligent and the help us to knowing some unknown things.Finally I want to say that this is good,clean and very nice institute for studies I like it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice institute.Within this institute, there are houses for the employees of NDRI to live in.There is also a large 2 laned enteance to this institute.However to visit this institute,permission is needed.It would have been better if it would have been open to the public.

Its head quarter is at Karnal, Haryana. Though it is basically a research institute for dairy cattle (primarily cows and buffaloes), there is provision of higher studies in veterinary & animal science leading to masters degree (MVSc) and PhD. A two-year Diploma course on animal husbandry (after Class 10+2) is also running. This institute is working under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Govt of India. Presently the ERS of the ICAR-NDRI is manned with qualified and experienced research scientists who are also engaged in teaching and extension education.
The campus of the institute is well maintained all the time, looks beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the Eastern Regional Station of ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana. It is at Kalyani and not far from the Kalyani Railway station. Students come here to conduct their Masters (MVSc) and Doctoral research work under the supervision of the eminent Scientists posted here. A two years Diploma course on "Animal husbandry and dairying" is also taught here. The subjects of animal sciences on which researches are carried out are Animal Physiology, Animal Nutrition, Gynaecology, Livestock Production Management, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Animal Biotechnology and Dairy Extension. The hostel facility and the mess is fantastic. There is a farm containing nearly 150 cattle and goats.
I stayed there for one year (2017-18) for my research work under the supervision of Dr. Mohan Mondal, Senior Scientist, Animal Physiology.
I was lucky enough to share my lab with a Post Doctorate Fellow, Dr. Adamou Akourki, Niger and with Dr. Hasan Sawki, Egypt.
The experience of working here was fantastic.
