★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing Hospital and its services is always found excellent for me. I was suffering from CKD (kidney) since 2011-2015 but later on I had done my kidney transplant in Max Hospital Mohali Chandigarh. I went IGMC & Hospital so many times when I was in emergency. The all concerned department has got highly professional doctors and skilled staff. I would also appreciate SRL lab they are serving excellent services, best quality and rates. The cleanness of overall areas in very well maintained. The only things needs to be improvement i.e Registration office, Chemist shops, Canteen and indoor unwanted public crowed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst hospital anyone can go. The doctors are very rude and tell about the situation directly to the patient to panic them. No one should ever go to IGMC ever.

Doctors!! who are known to be shadow of God justifies the saying and nurses too are incarnation of loddess. They work day and night and as hard as possible to treat the patients, a big salute to them. Not only this, every department from the hygiene maintenance, cleaners, cooks, security personals, etc. every one of them deserves respect as they all work together to uplift the dignity of the hospital.IGMC is the landmark in terms of Medical Science in Himachal Pradesh thanks to the government for providing such an amazing institution to Himachal Pradesh. And special thanks to everyone working in this esteemed and pious temple of wellness.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), formerly the Himachal Pradesh Medical College (HPMC), is a state-owned medical college and hospital in Shimla in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India.It was established in 1966 as the Himachal Pradesh Medical College (HPMC), and assumed the present name in 1984. On 29 June 2013, Himachal Pradesh Health minister Kaul Singh Thakur said that Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) would be upgraded on the analogy of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Sewa Yojana, (PMSSY). Thakur revealed about his meeting with Union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and the proposal for granting the AIIMS status to IGMC was under consideration of the government of India. Thakur added that the endeavour of the state government was to develop IGMC as a prestigious institute so that it can provide qualitative and better health services to the people of the state.

Shimla Airport is approximately 25 km away and Himachal Path Parivahan Nigam Bus Depot is around 6 km away from Indira Gandhi Medical College. Candidates can hire a taxi or take an auto-rickshaw to reach the institution. It offers various medical courses (MBBS, MD /MS, DNB, Mch etc). IGMC have various range specialities and superspecialities services. Indira Gandhi Medical College nad hospital, Shimla has also been granted the status of Regional Cancer Center by the Govt. of India, thus providing much needed comprehensive cancer care to the cancer patient. ..
Major issue is car parking there, then huge OPD rush, need to sort out ...

For patients no proper sitting arrangement .
Poor or I can say bad surrounding with no single parking space.
I think that people come with sick people get sick themselves due to lots and lots of paper work which is fine but to do so he/she have to run from one point to another which make a teenager dizzy and exhausted what will happen to old person.

Sector A lots of corruption face by middleclass and poor people even I feel silly if I will even giving them one star ,management is very poor,doctors are not on duty at time, kindly govt.plzz get an Surprize Audit Here and plzz ask some random people about the facilities.Even I don't find any complaint no. Anywhere nor on the site that is really shameful for us as am living between this kind of hospitals
