They utter sugary words when people go to seek admissions. But once the kids are in,see their behavior. The administration is worst. The receptionist, coordinators will illustrate children. The management seems is worst. They have their own rules . Being a CBSE school ,no cbse pattern is followed at all.They don't pay any heed to your concerns.

Worst school. Too much expensive and children are not taken proper care. Very money minded and no proper education at all.

Indus Valley World School. Well, people may have their own opinion about the school and I have read a couple of them. Let me tell you that the school is doing absolutely great job in terms of academic development of students. My son used to study before he moved out of India and then he joined back to the same school. I do not have any regrets of my decision to rejoin this school. Talking about fees, yes I would say the fees are high but that is what we decide before joining this school whether we are able to afford the fees. No point in saying the fees are high and all that after admission. The location of the school could have been better, but if we see most of the other big campus schools, they are located in similar outskirts area, at-least this school is within Kolkata and not very far from my place. Though they have authorized in-school Buses which is another security that I look for before admission. The school is well covered with CCTV Cameras and Security personnel which adds in the secured campus requirements as well. Talking about the teachers and academics. Teachers take good care of students. I wold say the pressure is moderately balanced. I have seen people's comment as "there are no studies happen in school" - This is wrong. Teachers sufficiently provides Homework and Classwork and I have no issue with that. IVWS declare to follow ICSE standard of studies upto class 8 but the school is affiliated to CBSE. There are regular PTMs to discuss improvement area and performance of our kids. The school also provides opportunities for students to take part in various competition, activities. I would have expected that some of these are made free to participate but not a road block. Though the school organizes an Annual event in a big way at the Science City Auditorium which we enjoyed every time. School is fully Air Conditioned which provides a good environment for students to live hours inside the campus. Remember, Air Conditioning is not a luxury but a necessity for life in the Global Warming phase. We cannot compare previous generations vs this generations. There cannot be any comparison as the world itself has changed in terms of climatic condition and AC has become a must have for people to live in this erratic climate. The school provides regular and proper protocol to provide important communication to parents either through leaflet, Diary, Calls or SMS. At-least they listen to parents when they need to get in touch with the school. After-all, our kids study here and we do not have time to make appointment before approaching to school or teacher. This is what I like one of the best thing. As I said earlier the location could have been better or they should do something to make the approaching roads better than what it has become now. Other than that I do not have any issue with the school. I am very proud that my son is studying in this school.

Can we give NEGATIVE rating ?? IVWS and BD Memorial School have same promoters and same malpractices. Pay more than 2 lakh fees per year so that the promoters can make new school building. Pay absurd inflated prices for summer, winter uniform, stationary every year! And get education worse than government school! Almost all the teachers are low quality, unprofessional and complete the formality of classes in hap-hazard manner, without any care for the students learning. Effect is visible in poor performance of the school in board examinations. Selecting this school for my child was one of the biggest misfortunes in my life.

Teachers are very friendly , you , as a guardian will feel very comfortable talking to the authority ... great faculty ... Good for students under high school ... There are much more greater options for good high schools ... last but not the least ,,, School building looks great , especially at night !

This school was much much better when Joseph Mathew was the director. The new director, Amita Prasad is horrible. She overworks and underpays the teachers, is rude with them and is overall degrading the school's status. Admission is going down all due to the ways she runs the school. She only knows how to waste money on useless decor. Junior section of the school is still good but senior section is horrible thanks to her kicking out the best teachers just because they went against her opinion. As long as she is director, please do not admit your child to this school.

Best school I have ever studied in.I would request you to admit your ward in this school. The teachers are friendly and will make the students understand properly.It has a huge playground for the students.Indus Valley has also won many trophies. The only reason I left the school is because the school was very far. BEST BEST BEST BEST SCHOOL.
