★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an old temple in Benerchandni, conveying the local heritage for years. The place is very less crowded (inspite of being on the side of the main-road) and peaceful. In usual days, a very few people visit this temple. But during 'Snan Yatra' (the annual puja celebration), people from different corners of the city come here to visit Mahaprabhu. Only on that day, Mahaprabhu's idol is taken out of the Garbhagreeha and is praised the whole day long. A small fair also takes place here in this occassion. But in the temple, you will only find Bhagwan Sree Jaganath Mahaprabhu and Sree Radha-Krishan. There's a small altars of Lord Shiva with four small Shiva-lingas just outside the temple. Devotees come here to praise Lord Shiva on Shiva-Ratri. There's a plash beside this temple, widely believed in the locality to be a part of Ganga. It is known here as the Aadi Ganga.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Besides Adiganga the lost river only a canal now. Sri Chaitannyadev went to Puri through this river by boat. Then it was the main stream of the river Ganges. Probably this temple was built afterwards. Come here at the time of 'Snanayatra mela' to visit this place.
