★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This ropeway certainly give you goosebumps because of it's elevation. It is not crowded in morning, to avoid crowd try to start early morning only. Only thing I was concerned about cleaning and maintenance. It could be better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This ropeway is worth a visit at least one-way. It offers spectacular views of Shimla near Mall Road. Be careful that you are not tricked by people who offer tickets for Ropeway as middleman. There is only one ticket counter and tickets should be purchased from here only as seen in the picture.
One-way ticket charges: ₹300/- per person
Two-way ticket charges: ₹550/- per person

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too much Pricy for the Ride. They take 599 per person for Two way trip for 10 min ride. And you have to walk atleast 1km to reach both the points.
Recommended only when you are less concerned about Money. Other wise Take the Taxi for 400 and take as many people as many you want.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jakhu ropeway takes you from mall Road to the top of the mountain where Jakhu Temple is situated. A tall statue of Lord Hanuman is installed which makes it worth a visit.
Ropeway makes it easy to reach to the top and a dedicated path is maintained to walk to the bottom. Ropeway wagon can accommodate 6 people with ease.
Beware of the monkeys though while you are taking staircase to the bottom.

The jakhu ropeway takes you to the jakhu temple. Which has one of the 108 feet tall idol of lord Hanuman, which is visible across all the route to shimla. It's one of the most beautiful attractions of Shimla.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jakhu ropeway offers splendid view of whole shimla valley. It costs you around Rs 550/- pp for two way journey. It also have in-home cafe for your taste. Only downside is high waiting time to board the ropeway. As they send uphill in batches. One ropecar can accommodate 6 ppl. The road to ropecar building is right to the Christ Church. No parking facility available near boarding point. One have to use escalator to 11th floor to reach the boarding point. Other options involved is by car pooling or local cabs which costs you around 20-40 rupees . One can also drive it's own car to temple as it has its own car parking facility.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a breathtaking view of Shimla. But the trip seemed to be really overpriced. A 2way trip costs ₹550/-per person, while similar ropeway in Palani costs ₹100/.
