This belonged to a legend of an actor from indian cinema the great prithviraj kapoor.
NOW it is known as PRITHVI THEATRE named after the legendry actor prithviraj kapoor.turned into an iconic unique theatre by his family especially his youngest son the late famous actor shashi kapoor.
This is one of its kind of a theatre in india where the stage is down at a lower level surrounded by the audiance in a semi circular pattern just like in a stadium
It has a seating capacity of around 200 people and the accoustics and sound systems are so unique that the audiances get engrossed in such a way as if they are part of the live play happening on stage.
It is the heart and hub and the endeavour of theatre artists all over the world to perform here to elite audiances for nearly more than 40 years now.
Some of the most renowned theatre artists from india and all over the world love to perform here and like to be associated with prithvi theatre.
Celebrity theatre artists conduct theatre workshops here regularly, poetry readings and popular meeting place of theatre actors for interactions and occasionally musical performances are also held here.
It has a very warm cafe in the theatre premises very famous for its irish coffee hot samosas ,parathaas, sandwiches,paastas & pastries, all items most reasonably priced which one can enjoy eating in an informal atmosphere
This place is wheelchair friendly,one can drive upto there but not a place where one can park cars
