★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is quite difficult to find the Cave. It's kind of Underground Cave with God statues. People nearby call it Jogeshwari Mandir. From that mandir you need to simply go little ahead to find this cave. As soon as you enter the cave you will feel cold due to less sunlight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You will be amazed by visiting this historic place as its located in heart of city, surrounded by crowded market place.... Inside you will see an amazing beauty of Carving... This place is beingtakencare By the Department of Archeology....
The main temple inside the cave is Jogeshwari Devi, In later times, the area was known by the same name.
Apart from this, there are also temples of Ganesha, Hanuman and Shankara.
Most of the people are not aware about this place, so i would recommend everyone to visit this place with family and friends....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A group of Caves which date back to 550 CE, the Jogeshwari Caves are an important Heritage site. Its structure is representative of the last stage of Mahayana Buddhist architecture and is a marvel to look at. The Caves also comprise of three temples, with each temple dedicated to a separate deity. It's not often that you find such a site to be located in the heart of a marketplace, surrounded by narrow streets, vendors, shops and humble dwellings. It's also located right next to the busy Western Express Highway. Ironically, in spite of being located at a location which observes crowds of daily commuters and customers, the Caves only draw a handful of visitors on an average. Thus, this place of immense historical significance remains to be hidden away by the bustle of modernisation and has been mostly forgotten by the masses. On the bright side, the lack of influx helps in preventing the degradation of the site. However, further efforts should be made at its preservation and maintenence, especially considering the location of the Caves makes it highly susceptible to damage. The inner structures of the Cave could also use some better lighting but perhaps, it's better just the way it is as the darkness adds to its allure and mystery. This is definitely a place worth checking out for both its spectacle and historical rarity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place. One of the lost places in Mumbai. It's kind of difficult to find as it's situated in middle of street, but i have tagged the correct location from.where one can visit. The surrounding are not good and the place is not maintained.
I hope the authorities do something to maintain this place .
There are beautiful and ancients sculpture still neatly visible and helpful.
