I urge all customers to be alert when purchasing something from this shop. We spend so many thousands of Rupees on a fridge, TV or Washing machine, and this is definitely not the shop to go to.
Today, we went to buy the LG fridge. We first went to the Juturu shop near Christian Lane, where we saw the LG fridge which we liked and wanted to buy. The cost quoted there was Rupees 61,000.
However, we wanted to check other shops as well, for better deals. We later went to Juturu 7 roads branch (near Gokul Lodge).
They didn't have a piece on display but said that they had one ready in their godown. Here they offered to sell the same model
for Rupees 57,000. We felt very happy that we got a good deal.
As we already saw the fridge in their other branch, we paid a deposit. In the evening, they called us saying that the fridge is ready for collection.
After close inspection, we realised that it was the same display piece from the other branch. The sales assistant Kareem, kept saying that it was a brand new piece. Fortunately earlier in the day, I had taken a photo of the display piece for my reference. When compared the fridge to the photo, we saw that it was the same exact display piece which he tried to sell lying that it was a brand new fridge. We sent our person to the other branch to check if the display piece was there and it wasn't there.
These scammers had brought the display piece from the other branch, wiped it clean and tried to sell it to us.
I would say the store follows unethical methods and have no basic morale or values. Please do not go to this shop to purchase anything for your homes as they may be secretly selling used items or even damaged goods. Today, I almost fell for this scam and would have brought home a damaged fridge thinking that it was brand new.
For your own benefit, please stay away from this shop and the whole bunch of scammers sitting in the shop.
