★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jyothi Lunch Home, is a wonderful place for a Quick Bite at Dirt Cheap Rates. You get a Dish containing 3 Dosas and Sambhaar + Chutni for Rs 30/=. That's an Bargain. But Beware, don't expect Paper Dosas as a Mumbaikar, more the thick Uttappa type. One plate is sufficient to carry you on for half a day. Breakfast is available from 7 am to 11.30 am only, Later on lunch is served. If you can manage to locate the Fire Station near the P.M. Road, you have located Jyothi Lunch Home. Worth trying it.

Also tried Jyoti special chicken with paratha, it's was really pleasant experience

I ordered Egg Schezwan fried rice and Egg curry it's was awesome taste and quantity was also good

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are many restaurants and hotels in the Ballard Pier and Bora Bazaar locality. But Jyothi Lunch Home stands out as an affordable place for food lovers. It is located in Maruti lane the not-so-attractive alley in Bora Bazaar Street. Opposite the restaurant is the Fort Fire Brigade office. If you know the lanes in the adjoining area, you can reach CSMT station within ten minute's walk. The restaurant mainly serves tasty non-veg Mangalorean food. In the morning time till 11 am you can taste Neer dosa and South Indian breakfast on a pocket-friendly budget. The fish thali used to have prawn masala. Due to the Covid pandemic and loss in the business, they have stopped serving prawn masala in the thali. The Mangalorean-flavoured fish curry and sabhji are tasty. There are many chicken dishes. The mutton thali is okayish. Chicken biryani tastes good but is on the spicier side. The restaurant has ten tables, with a seating capacity of forty customers. During the lunch break in the nearby offices, the restaurant gets crowded and one has to wait outside the restaurant for 15 to 30 minutes. Most of the customers are male but it is safe for females and families. The good ambiance, quick service, no so costly food, and cleanliness make this restaurant a favorite place for food connoisseurs.
