★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had experienced vertical line problem in my Sony KDL-50W800D tv recently. The problem was rightly identified as a T-CON board issue. It was replaced with minor chip level modification.
On the funny side Sony authorized service center had said that the tv is not repairable since they do not have spare parts and I should be going for a new tv instead!
You can trust this place. The engineer knows what he is doing & has in-depth domain as well as technical knowledge.
Kudos to you Sir for confidently solving the tv problem!
