Adi Ganga flows beside the Temple.
Pilgrims visit the place all year round.The temple are is currently being developed and we expect a major change towards betterment of the place in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful holly place of ma kali , but be aware of thug pandits there, they loot people on the name of maa kali, so don't get trapped in their tricks and just go directly to the temple and do darshan, and temple remains shut from 12pm to 4 pm so if you are visiting pleasek eep the timing in mind and plan your visit, opposite to kali temple on the main road their is less famous temple, which is also very beautiful, make sure you visit that temple too, and don't forget to shop some small souvenir of ma kali from the shops nearby temple

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a good temple, one of the 51 Shakti peethas. Easy to reach, 10 minutes walking from the Kalighat bus stop, or 15-20 minutes from metro. If you don't want crowd, go early in the morning. If you want to do full puja, you will find pujaris/pandas, of course they will charge you some fees/charges. Otherwise entry to the temple is free. The surrounding is kinda dirty, also a bit crowded. You will find flower, sweet, souvenirs shops near the temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kalighat is very famous temple but it’s looks like a normal temple, maintenance is poor and no development. I think there's no proper endowment dept to this temple.Everyone will try to loot you here, So don't be fall in the trap of anyone here for Dharshan or any other services.
# It's a must visit place and be aware of traffic rules in kolkata, if you're coming to this for the 1st time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is one of most visited temples in Kolkata dedicated to Goddess Kali on the bank of Hooghly River. It is one of the 51st Shakti Peethas. Thousands and thousands of devotees come here for Darshan of Maa Kali. A huge line of devotees always here for the one glimpse of Maa. You can go in common line or if you can spend 100 to 200 Rupees depending upon the time of visit you can be taken by some Pandas whose having shops there to the Garbha Griha or Darshan of Maa without going to the common line.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the holy shakti peethas located in Kalighat. Here one can offer Puja but due to large number of devotees there are long cues, best is to to come early in the morning. Also as per my personal experience there are some people who disguised as priest to charge hefty money in the name of donation, so beware of that. The temple is surrounded by crowded market better to come early or by metro due to traffic issues.
