Champaner Pavagarh archeological park. It dates from the 10th or 11th centuries. A fair is held at the temple which is attended by thousands of devotees in the month of Chaitra. The temple is the site of one of the Great holy Shakti Peeth. One can reach easily to temple by ropeway. It is a wonderful place. It can be reached by bus from Vadodara.

Quite clean. Clean washroom. Beware of Gujarat police around who is looking for reasons to fine cars from other states.

A	Arpit Patel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kalika Mata Temple at Pavagadh is one of the holiest of Shaktipeets in Indian subcontinent. Faith based legend surrounding Pavagadh formation suggests that the right foot of Mata Sati is believed to have fallen at Pavagadh. The hill is a southern Aravalli Range outlier, rising 800 metres (2,600 ft) above the surrounding plains. I have visited on 05th Dec 2021 and currently construction is going on of the temple. Taking inside temple and mataji photos are not permitted. Best option is to take ropeway (Adult @ Rs 170 - to and fro inclusive) instead of travelling 1800 steps( recommended only for someone who is very fit and have some badha/Maanta) to reach at level from which also you have to take approx. 200 steps to reach at the top for mataji Darshan, so after a lot of walk, if you are hungry then try the tasty khichu (local food). Also enjoy the sunset view from the top which is worth it.

Important advice: if you are planning to visit on weekends, please please avoid driving uphill towards car parking. Most probably, you will not get parking and will have to leave your car roadsides, which is risky. Better park it at the parking area available at down the hill. FOR ROPEWAY: Again, there will be a long long queue during weekend, try to reach at the ropeway ticket counter early in the morning. ₹133 per head fare. But its worth it .

Meditating here for some time. Gives mental. Peace and energy to us. Shiv and Shakti. Followers must visit this temple. You have option to walk all over from the foot of the hill. Or u can take the Ropeway which will take u almost near to the temple from. Foot of the hill. U can find all eatable items on the way from local vendors. No need to carry water or eatables as all. Is available on the way. The best papdi nu lot (ku chu) u can have here on pavagarh hill. Definitely u should try there. Must visit place for Bhakts.

The roads are good so no problem in reaching. once you reach, you will have two options either to opt for cable car or climb 2300 stairs. After 1800 stairs there is a lake and shops, food stall. You should definitely try the butter masala dosa, other dishes were also good. Then you climb 500 step more to reach the temple. The view from the temple is amazing, you should spend sometime there. There is an unexplored place, the way to which is at around 1500 step, its definitely a place to visit. Sharing some pictures ?
